Morocco condemns Iranian missile attack on Qatar
The Kingdom of Morocco has strongly condemned the missile attack that violated the sovereignty and airspace of the brotherly State of Qatar.
In a statement issued Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad expressed Morocco's full solidarity with Qatar in the face of any threats to its security and the safety of its citizens.
The condemnation comes after Iran launched an attack on the U.S. Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, in an operation it called «Annunciation of Victory» in retaliation for a U.S. strike on Iranian nuclear facilities. Qatar's authorities have since confirmed that their air defense systems successfully intercepted the incoming missiles.
