B&M shoppers rush to buy stylish home furniture scanning at just £20 instead of £200
SAVVY shoppers are flocking to B&M to get their hands on majorly discounted furniture. One customer couldn't believe her luck after she nabbed a large oak cupboard originally priced at £200 for just £20. 1 A B&M customer landed an incredible deal in their local store Credit: B&M Scanner And Other Bargains!/Facebook She and her daughter were browsing their local B&M and scanning items with the store's app to check if they had secret or early deals. The pair stumbled across a 2-door 2-drawer sideboard made from premium oak and scanned the box to see if there was any chance of saving some cash. To their delight, it had been reduced to £100, but things were about to get even better. When the mother and daughter duo rocked up at the tills, the cashier scanned the flatpack box to reveal it was just £20. That is a whopping saving of £180 in total. The scanner is free to use – you just need to download the B&M app. She shared a photo of the product on B&M Scanner and Other Bargains Facebook page and told other users that she 'still couldn't believe it'. How does the B&M barcode scanner app work? B&M shoppers say they've saved hundreds of pounds by using the store's free barcode scanner. The tool allows them to discover discounted items before the staff have even reduced them. Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift, or they're labelled 'big brands' and 'big savings'. It's a terrific hack to use, especially since the cost of living keeps rising and inflation might hit 15% by the end of the year. The scanner is completely free as well – you just need to download the B&M app. Shoppers can download it on the App Store or Google Play. Once you've got the app, click on the 'scan' button at the bottom of your homepage. This will then bring up the camera on your smartphone, which you'll need to use to scan barcodes. When you've found a product you want to scan, simply point your smartphone camera toward its barcode. The app will then automatically bring up the item's price – this is when you'll know if it is reduced or not. To read more, click here. Impressed by the massive saving, one wrote: 'Bargain. I love it when something like this happens.' 'Wow, how lucky,' said a second. A third shared their experience: 'Lots (of) furniture reduced. I found black and oak TV unit £90 down to £10 and breakfast bar table and two stools £60 down to £10. 'Today (I) got an electric stove fire £70 down to £15. Great find, well done.' If you see something you like in the B&M sale it may be worth comparing prices online to ensure you are not missing a better deal somewhere else. Sales also vary from store to store, so just because one branch offers amazing deals on something doesn't mean they all will. You will also need to shop these offers in person as B&M does not have an online store. With that in mind, it may be worth ringing your local store ahead of time to check stock levels to avoid a wasted trip. You can find your nearest B&M by visiting It's not the only offer at B&M in recent weeks. The popular store has launched a huge sale on garden kit, with the cheapest item selling for just £1. Over 50 products have been reduced in price, including a Solar Table Lamp that is on sale for just £1. The product, which can be used to light up your garden at night originally cost £1.50 but has had its price reduced by 33%. And that is not all the retailer has also cut the price of Johnstone's Paint by 25% for those looking to do some DIY. The paint usually goes for £15 at B&M but it is now scanning for £11.25. Those looking to pick up some garden furniture also have a chance to save £150 on a Bali 8 Seater Dining Table Set, which now costs £350 Shoppers also have a chance to save £10 on a pop up gazebo that is now scanning for £50.
