FBI Chief Kash Patel Stuns Joe Rogan With Swatting Admission

FBI Director Kash Patel left podcast bro Joe Rogan virtually speechless as he casually revealed that his house had been swatted. 'What?' asked a stunned Rogan. 'The head of the FBI gets swatted?' 'These people play, it's the ultimate hypocrisy. They have two sets of rules: One against you, and one for them,' Patel said, having just lit a cigar, during an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience published Friday. Patel did not specify who he meant by 'these people,' but instead stoked fears that broader corrupt actors in the government were attempting to snuff out his 'mission' to 'put out the truth.' Patel added that he was committed to 'congressional oversight' as he used most of the interview to stir the same claims of government corruption and 'bad actors' outlined in his 2024 book, Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy—which Rogan plugged. Patel also backed up President Donald Trump's allegations that he was being spied on as part of an investigation into Russian election interference. Patel alleged that former FBI director Andrew McCabe and then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein as privy to the scheme, and he claimed they lied to cover it up. However, Patel claimed that he 'caught' them because they were 'arrogant' enough to 'write everything down.' 'Why would they write everything down?' Rogan asked. 'They are so arrogant. They think, 'No one is gonna catch us. I'm going to write everything down. We are gonna put it in a vault, and no one is gonna find it,'' claimed Patel. 'Well, you know what? I found the vault.' Patel claimed they had committed 'illegal activity' by pushing a 'disinformation campaign.' Patel cryptically added with a grin, 'And now I'm going to work.' The Daily Beast has contacted both McCabe and Rosenstein for comment. Rogan, taking Patel's word that crimes had been committed, asked, 'Is there a statute of limitations on these crimes?' Patel said 'generally' there is a five-year statute of limitations on what are known as 'process' crimes. 'But if you can tie them to an overarching conspiracy, there is no statute of limitations,' claimed Patel. 'So if there was more egregious conduct that no one knew about before that we are just finding, then we will have to relook at it.' Yet Patel promised, 'The one thing we will do is put out all that information to the American public.' He added, 'And if we can work with our partners at the DOJ to come up with a prosecution, that will be their decision.' The Daily Beast has contacted Patel for further comment.

FBI chief Kash Patel turns tables on Democrat accusing him of weaponizing bureau

FBI Director Kash Patel turned the tables on a Democratic House lawmaker Wednesday who accused him of weaponizing the bureau to target political figures he wrote about in his 2023 book. Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-Pa.) charged during a House Appropriations Committee hearing that an appendix of names in Patel's book, 'Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy,' is being used by Patel and President Trump as an 'enemies list.' 'It concerns me how many people from this blueprint have been targeted with executive orders and FBI investigations,' Dean told the FBI director, before asking, 'When can I, a former impeachment manager, expect the FBI at my door?' Advertisement 3 Dean and Patel clashed during a House Appropriations Committee hearing on Wednesday. Getty Images 'Ma'am,' Patel responded. 'You want to know who was targeted by a weaponized FBI? Me. 'You want to know how and why? You want to know what I'm doing to fix it?' the fiery FBI director continued, but Dean didn't appear interested. Advertisement 'Let me move on,' the congresswoman said, trying to change topics, before Patel interjected. 'Well, you should read the book because there's no enemies list on that book,' the FBI chief told Dean, describing the appendix the congresswoman was referring to as a list of people 'that violated their constitutional obligations and their duties to the American people. 'They were rightly called out — and you should give that book to every one of your constituents so they can read about it,' Patel demanded. After Dean indicated that she would not be providing residents of Pennsylvania's 4th Congressional District copies of Patel's book, he replied, 'That's their loss.' Advertisement 3 Patel argued that the Justice Department had been weaponized against him under former President Joe Biden. AP 3 Dean expressed concern that she would be investigated by the FBI for serving as an impeachment manager during President Trump's first term. Getty Images Patel confirmed during his Senate confirmation hearing that he was subpoenaed and compelled to testify before a federal grand jury as part of former special counsel Jack Smith's investigation into President Trump's retention of White House documents at Mar-a-Lago after his first term. Many have argued that the case, for which criminal charges against Trump were dismissed last July, was politically motivated.

NYC Eric Mayor Adams, facing criticism over ties to Trump, touts book by FBI chief Kash Patel

NEW YORK — Mayor Eric Adams, in his address to New Yorkers on his federal corruption charges being dropped, promoted a highly controversial book about the so-called deep state by Trump FBI Director Kash Patel. 'New Yorkers stop me all the time in trying to find the rationale behind this, and I found it in this book,' the mayor said, holding up a hardcover copy of the 288-page book. 'I'm going to encourage every New Yorker to read it. Read it and understand how we can never allow this to happen to another innocent American.' The book, 'Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy,' outlines an alleged conspiracy of powerful players against the Trump administration. It was a curious choice given the widespread criticism Adams has faced over the DOJ's efforts to dismiss his case. He's been accused of entering into a corrupt deal with Trump, making him beholden to the president. Though Adams has denied any quid pro quo, holding up Patel's book further associates the mayor with Trump and his associates. The premise of Patel's book in some ways echoes Adams' claims that the case against him was a politically motivated attempt to take him down. Since he was indicted on federal corruption charges in September, Adams has claimed the case was political retribution for speaking out against President Biden's handling of the migrant crisis — although he has not blamed the 'deep state' or other behind-the-scenes actors. Adams also praised Patel's widely-criticized deep state conspiracy on a podcast published shortly after the charges were dropped. 'I have never seen anyone do such a good job of defining that deep state,' the mayor told host Andrew Schulz on podcast 'Andrew Schulz's Flagrant with Akaash Singh.' The book has been widely slammed as conspiratorial and aligned with QAnon. In the book, Patel refers to 'government gangsters' to refer to those part of the corrupt 'deep state' who tried to thwart Trump's presidency. It also includes a list of 60 people in the book's appendix that he deemed part of the 'Executive Branch Deep State.' Patel also made a companion documentary based on the book with the alt-right studio Salem Media and produced by Steve Bannon. Patel's list includes Kamala Harris, who Adams said he voted for, and Hillary Clinton, who spoke alongside Adams at a funeral recently. Judge Ho roundly rejected the idea that the prosecution was politically motivated in his Wednesday ruling dismissing the charges. 'The Southern District of New York prosecutors who worked on this case followed all appropriate Justice Department guidelines. There is no evidence — zero — that they had any improper motives,' the judge wrote. _____
