JOLIET, Ill. — A teenager was found shot to death in an alley in Joliet late Monday afternoon, police said. Joliet police officers responded to the 300 block of Des Plaines Street on reports of a person shot just before 4:45 p.m. Officers located an unresponsive 13-year-old boy in an alley who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooting is still being investigated by police and no arrests have been made. SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – The Spartanburg Police Department reported that one person is dead following a shooting in Spartanburg. Officers said that at approximately 7:45 p.m. they were called out to a house on Logan Street. Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers were told that the victim was mowing the lawn when he was approached by several individuals in the front yard. The victim reportedly got into a verbal altercation with the group, which lead to the victim being shot. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries. The Spartanburg Police Department stated that at least four men were seen running from the area immediately after the incident. Details remain limited about potential suspects.
