Article content I understand perfectly why many Albertans would want to leave Confederation. When voters east of the Manitoba-Ontario border decided to foist a fourth-consecutive anti-Alberta, Liberal government on Alberta, that was too much from a large minority of Albertans. All my life, I remember one Ottawa government after another dictating policies to Alberta that were hostile to our constitutional powers and to our major industry. Along with that have came large doses of sneering condescension about our culture and way of life.
