WHEATON, Md. (DC News Now) — Montgomery County is moving forward with plans to co-locate a new arts and cultural center with an affordable housing development in the Wheaton Arts and Entertainment District.

The project, led by Montgomery Housing Partnership, will redevelop a former WMATA site into affordable rental and for-sale units, a parking garage, and an arts center with performance spaces, classrooms, and gallery areas.
The center will be located on the ground floor of a new multifamily building along Georgia Avenue.
