Jennifer Hudson slammed by fans for VERY awkward interview with Eddie Murphy

has been slammed by fans for her very awkward interview with Eddie Murphy. On Thursday, the actor, 64, appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and revealed that his son, Eric, has secretly married. The proud dad said Eric had wed long-time friend Martin Lawrence's daughter Jasmin after four years of dating. However, during Jennifer's interview fans felt her responses fell short and some argued he 'didn't listen' to his answers. Jennifer, 43, started by asking Eddie: 'Are you going to sing at your son's… Or is it your daughter's wedding, right?' Eddie quickly responded that it was his son who had actually gotten married two weeks prior. He said: 'They went off. Everybody was making the big wedding plans, then they decided they wanted to do something quiet, with just the two of them, and they got married.' Eddie continued: 'Now Martin doesn't have to pay for the big wedding now.' After his response, Jennifer again asked if he sang for the wedding. He answered: 'No, they didn't have a wedding!' Jennifer replied: 'Oh no?' The actor continued: 'No, they went off and got married in the church. They just had the two of them and the preacher. They had a quiet little thing. 'I think we'll have a big party or something, they ran off and got married.' Jennifer then asked if the comedian would sing at the future party. He humored the awkward chat and responded: 'Will I sing at the wedding? No, I ain't singing.' People quickly remarked about the disjointed exchange on X. One user wrote: 'Jennifer is a TERRIBLE HOST!' Another said: 'Lmao it's actually incredible how bad she is. The man said they went off just the two of them went off and got married. 'She's gonna then ask him, "Did you sing at the wedding." Baby, pay attention, omg.' Several other people commented in agreement. One said: 'Omg, I didn't even notice she didn't have cards. She needs them bad!' Another added: 'It's so painful to watch all the time.' A final viewer wrote: 'That's the difference between a journalist and a celebrity with a talk show.' The criticism comes after Jennifer had a previously awkward interview with singer Kesha. In May, Kesha excitedly shared that she had been an extra in Dreamgirls, the 2006 movie that catapulted Jennifer to stardom and won her an Academy Award. After reacting with what seemed like exaggerated shock, Jennifer did nothing to push the topic forward and didn't even ask what scene the singer was in. On the show, Kesha said: 'I was an extra on Dreamgirls.' Jennifer replied with extravagant theatricality: 'What? Really?' Kesha tried to keep the anecdote afloat and said: 'For 16 hours I sat there with my hair teased to the gods. Oh my God, I - no offense - I hated it.'
