Lidl is selling a Dyson tower fan dupe that's £200 cheaper than the big brand

BARGAIN hunters are racing to Lidl to snap up a Dyson fan dupe. It's whisper-quiet, stylish, and packed with features, plus you'll save over £200 compared to the big-name version. The Silvercrest Bladeless Tower Fan is currently on offer for £54.99 when you use the Lidl Plus app. That's £15 off its regular price of £69.99. In comparison, it's £225 cheaper than the popular Dyson Cool Tower Fan, which will set you back a hefty £280. Shoppers reckon Lidl's version does the job just as well, with many calling it a 'game-changer' in the heat. One customer said: 'Bought this today and it's amazing, super quiet and doesn't take up much space.' Another added: 'Exactly like a Dyson but a fraction of the price. Total win.' While a third chimed in: ' This is just what I needed.' The Silvercrest tower boasts 20 speed settings, four oscillation angles, a timer of up to eight hours and four modes including sleep and power. It's bladeless, making it safer for kids and pets and a breeze to clean. It even comes with a stylish matte finish, a non-slip base, and a three-year warranty, proving you don't have to pay Dyson prices for designer fan features. Five Lidl rosés you need this summer, according to a wine expert - a £6.99 buy is as light & crispy as £22 Whispering Angel But you'll have to be quick. Lidl's offer is in-store only, and like all their top deals, stock is limited and once it's gone, it's gone. The £15 discount is only valid from June 1 to June 7, so don't hang about. It's also worth calling ahead to make sure your local branch still has it in stock. Fan deals Lidl's not the only retailer flogging bargain fans this week. Poundland is selling a mini desk fan for just £3, one of the cheapest options around. Asda has handheld fans from £1.50 and a bigger nine-inch desk fan for £15. Aldi shoppers are raving about a portable air cooler with LED lights for just £14.99. It's small, rechargeable and comes with a carry handle. Lidl also has a Silvercrest desk fan for £29.99 – or £19.99 with the app. It's being called a dupe of a £100 Russell Hobbs model and includes a remote control. Over at Home Bargains, there's a wearable neck fan for £4.99 and a 32-inch tower fan for £19.99, beating Dunelm's price by a tenner. Before buying, it's always worth using tools like PriceSpy, Idealo, or CamelCamelCamel to check you're getting the best deal. These compare prices and track discounts over time, so you can spot a genuine bargain and avoid falling for fake "sales." Just remember to factor in delivery fees if you're shopping online, and always check stock levels before heading to the shops. With temps rising and stocks flying, the best deals won't stick around for long.

Hobbycraft is selling a £10 bargain that's perfect for providing kids with ‘hours of fun' on rainy half term days

THERE'S nothing worse than trying to keep kids entertained at home during half term when it's raining outside. But luckily, Hobbycraft is selling a bargain that will help you do just that - as it provides kids with "hours of fun". 4 4 One savvy shopper took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share their find, telling other bargain hunters that the craft store's cardboard colour-in houses have been slashed to half price. "Hobbycraft have cardboard houses on offer at £10 - great for rainy half term days!" they captioned their post. All the cardboard houses have had the price reduction, including the original Colour-In Cardboard Playhouse. "This wonderful little house gives your little ones a big blank canvas that they can cover with their own creative works of art, as well as providing the perfect little hideaway," the description of the product reads on the Hobbycraft website. "There are flowers, fairies, butterflies decorating the sides, giving your creative kids instant inspiration. "The illustrations are all ready to be coloured in with pencils, pens or paints." The house can be assembled "quickly and easily", and can make for "a lovely family activity". "Once built and coloured, kids can enjoy endless hours of play!" they added. And the reviews for the playhouse were almost entirely positive, with one person writing: "This was a really good activity for my daughter and she spent ages colouring in the pictures." "The product is fantastic and made one little girl extremely happy!" another added. My 6 and 4-year-old are still awake at 9pm during the school holidays - I can't decide if it's too late & it's sparked a huge mum debate "The size was bigger than I was actually expecting, giving her room to get inside and draw her own designs all around the little house. "We also bought 150 pens from your store to go with the colour house and everything went down a treat. It really is hours of fun!" "Fantastic house great size and has given my daughter and her friends hours of fun," a third said. "I brought this product for my daughter whilst half price," someone else commented. "She loves it, as well as her older brother. How to survive six weeks of school summer holidays IF you are struggling with the six week summer holidays, you've come to the right place... BATTLING BOREDOM: Despite hours of activities and playdates, if your kids are already complaining there's nothing to do, parenting expert Liat Hughes Joshi says: 'Don't feel you have to organise every second of the holidays. Kids benefit from boredom and learn to make their own fun. 'Boredom can trigger creative and imaginative play but you need to encourage kids to get used to not being told how to spend their time. 'Ride out the pleas of boredom. Counter it with comments such as, 'What do you think you could do?' and maybe have a list of 'I'm bored' activity ideas on the fridge.' SCREEN OVERLOAD: It's tempting during the holidays to rely on a digital babysitter but don't let them gawp their whole summer away in front of a screen. Liat says: 'It's unfair to expect older kids to power down but it's important to set some ground rules. 'Set family tech rules together. If you're often distracted by your phone, follow the rules too. Maybe tell the kids they aren't allowed any screen time until they've done set chores, some exercise, or a board game. 'Are there times when you'd like to ban screens completely? Perhaps during dinner or when they have friends over to visit. 'Tech is a battleground for parents, but you have to set boundaries. Stand firm and be prepared to be unpopular.' TOO MUCH TOGETHERNESS: You love your kids, but being with them 24/7 can be exhausting. Do not feel guilty if you need a bit of downtime. Liat says: 'If you're juggling work and household tasks as well as occupying the kids, it's normal to start feeling overwhelmed or jaded and in need of some peace. 'If you can't afford or don't want to send your kids to all-day camps, look for free kids' workshops so you can get on with jobs or have a break for a couple of hours. 'Seeking a spell of quiet every now and then doesn't make you a bad parent — in fact it will probably make you more positive and enthusiastic when you are with the kids.' SCHEDULING CONFLICT: Schedules can go out the window during holidays, but late nights and early mornings can mean tired and unhappy children. Dr Tamara Bugembe, paediatrician and founder of says: 'Children get grumpy, test boundaries and become challenging when routines are broken. 'Sticking to some kind of routine during the holidays is a good idea. 'We release hormones at different times of the day and when regular meal times and bed times are broken, it causes dips and peaks in mood. 'Holidays are about having fun but an early night once or twice a week will make everyone happier.' EXCESS ENERGY: Make sure kids get out in the fresh air to tire them out — and make them healthier and happier. Dr Bugembe says: 'Sunshine also tops up vital vitamin D levels which helps improve bone strength and energy levels in children. Our levels run low in winter so let the kids stock up in warmer weather. 'Letting them run around in shorts and a T-shirt is the best way to top up. Make sure they're wearing sun cream, get outside and have fun. 'Encourage them to try healthy habits such as cycling and walking. They'll hopefully get hooked and want to carry them on when the weather gets colder.' "Bought this last Saturday for my childminding setting," another added. "Very sturdy and great quality. Kids (aged from 3-8) have been colouring it in and playing in it all week. "Still standing and kids love it. "For the price I was a bit dubious buying it but will def be back for more. "Kids have asked if I can buy them one for their birthday present!" "This sturdy cardboard play house has cute pictures to colour in and plenty of blank space for the children's imaginations to run wild," someone else wrote. "I love its simple design. "Hours of fun, brain developing stuff with construction problem solving, focusing to colour in, imaginative and creative play in drawing more and imaginative play when using the house to 'play Mummy's and Daddy's'. "Simply brilliant, brilliantly simple!" "Bought this for my 4-year-old," another added "She absolutely loves it and has been keeping her busy for the last week. Would definitely recommend!!" "Brilliant! Loads of fun for little one (and her 13yo sister!) easy to put together and surprisingly sturdy for a cardboard house," someone else wrote. "My 21m daughter LOVES it!" "This item is the best £10 I've spent on my granddaughter, she spends hours of play in it as well as colouring it in," another commented. 4 4

One person said: 'I need.' Top Primark summer buys IF you're looking for more Primark summer buys, then you've come to the right place. Shoppers have recently been raving about the new Miffy PJs from Primark. Others were desperate to nab the new leopard print nightwear. If animal print is your thing, you'll want to check out the new maxi skirts. The haltnerneck tops are perfect for summer. If you're on a budget, these trousers are identical to a pair from Zara, but without the hefty price tag. There's brilliant travel essentials for less than £10. And if you plan on heading to the beach, you won't want to miss these crochet bags. Another added: 'I'm gonna go tomorrow!!' A third commented: 'Omg these are so good.' Whilst someone else gasped: 'I need to buy ASAP.' At the same time, one happy shopper wrote: 'They're super super comfy and lightweight.' Meanwhile, one social media user asked: 'Are the white ones see through?' To this, a Primark shopper replied and beamed: 'I bought them yesterday and they are not see through.' Why Primark is great for looking expensive on a budget By Clemmie Feildsend, Fabulous Fashion Editor AS someone who's no stranger to grabbing a last-minute outfit from Primark for a night out, it's about time that celebrities started catching on too. For as long as I've been heading out, Primark has been my go-to for those 'I have nothing to wear' moments, rushing in at the last minute to find something perfect. And I'm definitely not alone - on any Friday or Saturday night, you'll find plenty of shoppers doing the same thing, right before closing time. But no matter what, Primark always delivers. Now, Rita Ora is leading the charge, showing that you can snag a designer-worthy look without spending a fortune at high-end stores. While Rita's not rushing in last minute for a red carpet outfit, she's proving you can achieve the same high-impact style for much less. Looking stunning in her tailored suit alongside her mum Vera, Rita fit right in among the other A-listers dripping in Prada, Dior, and Victoria Beckham - if anything, she looked even better than some of the guests at The Fashion Awards. With Myleene Klass and Roxy Horner already jumping on the Primark bandwagon, I'm sure more stars will be following suit soon enough.

Best Apple deals for Amazon Prime Day 2025

Bargain hunters, start your engines. Amazon Prime Day 2025 will be here sooner than you know it, and that means big savings across all kinds of tech, including Apple gear. Whether you're eyeing up a new iPad or Apple Watch, are after a cheap pair of AirPods or are upgrading your iPhone or MacBook, it's one of the best times of the year to bag a deal. Typically taking place in mid-July, Prime Day is Amazon's biggest shopping event of the year. The sale runs for just 48 hours and offers thousands of exclusive deals just for Prime members – you lucky things. While Apple products don't go on sale all that often, Prime Day is one of the few times you'll see meaningful discounts on the entire lot, and is the perfect summer warm-up to Black Friday. So what can we expect? I've been covering the Prime Day sales for almost a decade, so I know how to sniff out a bargain. I'll be rounding up all the best Apple deals to expect in the lead-up to the event, as well as finding the genuinely good early offers you need to know about. When will Apple Prime Day deals start in 2025? While Amazon hasn't confirmed the exact dates for Prime Day 2025 just yet, the event almost always takes place in mid-July. In 2024, it kicked off on Tuesday 16 July; in 2023, it took place between 11–12 July, and in 2022 it started on 12 July. Based on that pattern, I'm expecting this year's sale to fall somewhere in the middle of the month again. Apple deals usually go live as soon as Prime Day begins, often just after midnight. Set your alarms, you won't want to miss it. And remember, Prime Day is only for Amazon Prime subscribers. An Amazon Prime membership costs either £8.99 per month or £95 per year, but you can sign up for a free trial if you haven't been a member in the last 12 months or have never been a Prime member before. What were the best Apple Prime Day deals last year? Amazon pulled out all the stops in 2024, slashing prices across nearly every Apple product. Standout savings included £150 off the MacBook Air M2, taking it down to £849 – one of the lowest prices I'd seen for Apple's powerful laptop. The Apple Watch Series 9 also hit its lowest-ever price at £344, and a pack of four AirTags dropped to just £84. If you were after audio gear, the AirPods Pro 2nd gen fell to just £179 – the lowest price to date – while the AirPods Max were reduced by over £70. Even the third-gen AirPods saw a hefty discount to £129, and the second-gen version dipped below the £100 mark. The 2022 iPad Air fell to just £479, and the 10th-gen iPad dropped to just over £300. For those after a bigger screen, the iPhone 14 Plus saw a massive £230 price cut, bringing it down to £569, quite the bargain for the still-powerful phone. The best Apple deals to expect for Prime Day 2025 If last year is anything to go by, I'm expecting some steep discounts across Apple's most popular products. The AirPods Pro 2nd gen were one of the biggest sellers in 2024, and a new pair are on the horizon, so I'm hoping to see them drop again, possibly even cheaper than £179. And with the release of the M3 MacBook Airs earlier this year, the M2 and even M1 models could see steep discounts. The same goes for iPads. The 10th-gen model and the 2022 iPad Air are both prime candidates for a price cut now that Apple's refreshed the line-up. The Apple Watch Series 9 hit its lowest-ever price last Prime Day, so look out for similar deals again, and I'm expecting to see savings on the newer Series 10. AirTags and the fourth-generation AirPods are also likely to get a seat in the deal bin. I don't think we'll see major iPhone 16 discounts just yet, but there's a good chance the iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 could pop up with sizeable savings. Best early Amazon Prime Day Apple deals: Currently discounted to its lowest-ever price, the Apple Watch Series 10 is a worthy upgrade if you're looking for a new smartwatch. 'The best Apple Watch yet, at first glance it looks similar to Series 9, but the bigger display, thinner profile and handsome new colours make the Series 10 a lot more appealing,' tech critic David Phelan said in his review. 'The features that have defined the Apple Watch, from subtle notifications, brilliant mapping capabilities on your wrist and above all, great health features, are all at their best here.' The all-new iPad 11th-generation only launched a couple of months ago and it's already seen a modest discount. The entry-level iPad features a 11in display and has a powerful A16 Bionic chip on the inside. It also starts with 128GB of storage, double that of its predecessor.

Tesco shoppers rushing to buy £32.50 holiday essential that's half-price and perfect for summer

TESCO shoppers are racing to get their hands on a holiday essential scanning for just half the price. A savvy customer posted the bargain find in the popular Extreme Couponing Bargain's UK Facebook group. 3 3 These summer suitcases are flying of Tesco's shelves for just £32.50 after they were slashed by a whopping 50 per cent. Shoppers can also snap up two other cases — the smaller one costs just £27.50, down from £55, while the larger is scanning at £50 after a whopping 33 per cent price cut. Several bargain hunters have already snapped up these holiday essentials and shared their experiences in the Facebook post. One shopper wrote: "I got 6 of these in yellow, they are fab." "Got my 4 large cases saved cost £140 saved a huge £150," another added. However, this user warned: "Quite heavy and u need a pad lock." And this shopper said: "Looked at them yesterday and honestly they feel cheap. And the way airport staff throw them about, it will end up broken." Last week, bargain hunters raved after the major supermarket slashed prices on several of its holiday cases. Tesco slashed their prices on a range of their suitcases, with cabin cases now only £10 - yes, you heard that correctly. Not only this, but there were even large suitcases for just £12. Cheap holiday essentials IF you're jetting abroad this summer, here are the cheap holiday essentials you won't want to miss. PACKING CUBES: They're loved by mum-of-22 Sue Radford and not only do they save space in your luggage, but they'll ensure that your case is super neat and tidy. TAG TRACKER: There's nothing worse than loosing your luggage, but thanks to this handy £15 buy from B&M, you won't have to worry about that on your next trip. KIDS' CABIN BAG: Don't worry if you can't afford to splash the cash on a Trunki, as Aldi are selling an alternative dupe buy for just £29.99 - and it's great for children. HAND LUGGAGE CASE: For those that are opting to go hand luggage instead of paying a fortune for a check-in bag, Morrisons are selling extra small cases, that are perfect for taking on a flight, for only £7.99. One excited shopper spotted the epic discounts in her local Tesco store and was eager to share it with others. Paulina Lesinska De Bessa took to social media to share the brilliant deals, leaving many open-mouthed. Alongside her post, the travel lover and bargain hunter beamed: '£10 small one and £12 a big one. 'Reduced to clear in Tesco, Wisbech, this morning.' While Paulina was lucky enough to get her hands on the It Legion Cabin Bag for only £10, it is currently on the It Luggage website for £45. It comes after Tesco dealt a new blow to shoppers after hiking up the cost of one of its pizza meal deals by £1. And this popular supermarket chain has apologised after shoppers mistakenly thought they'd been handed £100 in Clubcard points. How to compare prices to get the best deal JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn't mean it's always a good deal. There are plenty of comparison websites out there that'll check prices for you - so don't be left paying more than you have to. Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers. Here are some that we recommend: Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results. Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock. Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one. CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
