Mollie King gives insight into home life as she returns to work after mat leave
Former The Saturdays star Mollie King has made a triumphant return to BBC Radio 1 after taking time off to welcome her second baby - and is back on air with her return coinciding with One Big Weekend Mollie King returned to work from maternity leave in style - making sure she was back for Big Weekend. 'It's so good to be back,' she told me - and said she was made up to be reunited with co-host Matt Edmonson. 'I've missed this guy. He was the first person to visit and meet the little one.' The Saturdays star welcomed her second daughter, Lilliana, with cricketer Stuart Broad in January. Telling me she's got the mum juggle down to a tee, she said: 'I've got the best of both worlds. I see my best friend in the afternoon and then my girlies, and Stuart, in the morning. "To have cuddles with the girls and then do the radio show is perfect.' Mollie and Matt open day three of the festival with a DJ set - and are promising some dance moves. 'It'll be fun,' said Matt. 'There will be lots of hands in the air. Timber by Pitbull will 100% be on the list.' 'I think we should practice a little routine,' added Mollie. That will be festival high - but Matt shared one experience which hit a bum note. 'I was at Tea In The Park,' he said. 'I was on a golf buggy. There was a lattice fence and I saw a guy take a s*** against that fence. That was quite a low point. It was like one of those Playdo fun factories.' That's an image I could have done without. Mollie and Stuart stunned fans earlier in the week when they revealed their second bundle of joy had arrived last year. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Mollie shared a string of images of herself holding her baby daughter. She wrote: "Just before Christmas we welcomed our truly adorable Liliana into the family. Since then I've had the most unforgettable and incredible maternity leave watching her grow and experience the world little by little each day. "It's been the most special and precious time I could have ever asked for." Sharing the news ahead of her Radio show return, she continued: "Tomorrow I'll be back with my second family - my @bbcradio1 team and with our wonderful listeners, but to my beautiful baby girls if they read this when they're older… Liliana, you've been the best Christmas present we could've wished for. "I was so nervous that I wouldn't know how to look after 2 but you have been the world's most relaxed baby with the biggest smile for your family. Thank you for our midnight feasts and 4am snuggles - plenty more of those to come! And Annabella, thank you for continuing to make me belly laugh every single day and for welcoming your little sister into this world with so much love." She added: "I'm so lucky to watch you grow day by day - thank you girls for teaching me to be your Mummy - you are our world." Stuart reacted to the news himself, replying to Mollie's post to write: "The best time" alongside a red heart emoji. Further images showed the proud dad looking after his elder daughter in the kitchen, and laying on the floor with his baby. Further snaps showed him, Mollie and Annabella all doting over Liliana.

Tom Grennan shares huge update hours before headlining Radio 1's Big Weekend
Tom Grennan has shared some rather important news with his social media followers just before he's due to headline BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Liverpool Tom Grennan has made a huge announcement before his BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend headline slot tonight. The musician, who just three years ago played the Future Sounds Stage at the festival, will close the event tonight, having teased a cameo appearance from KSI. But while he's currently gearing up to perform some of his biggest hits, including Remind Me, Don't Break The Heart, and Little Bit Of Love, it appears Tom has some celebrating to do. Although he's got a string of awards in his trophy cabinet, including Best UK Act from the 2023 MTV EMAs and two Music Week Awards, Tom has another one to add to the collection. Over on Instagram, it was announced that Tom had racked up one billion UK streams for his music on songs such as Higher, Let's Go Home Together and Little Bit of Love. The BRIT Awards said: "1 billion UK streams for @ With massive hits including Little Bit of Love, Let's Go Home Together, and Higher, Tom receives hit BRIT Billion Award ahead of headlining @bbcradio1's Big Weekend this weekend!" The post was flooded with praise for Tom, with BBC Radio 1 star Conor Knight exclaiming: "Top boyyy," alongside a fire emoji. "Congraaaaats Tom oh my God!," said one fan. A second went on to type: "What a brilliant announcement to wake up to. Well deserved. Congratulations Tom." Reflecting on his achievements, the Bedford-born legend said: "Morning people, what a beautiful day by the way. I'm heading up to Liverpool, 'cause today's the day, I headline Radio 1's Big Weekend. "Remembering the past eight or nine years and how crazy they have been. But remembering really today, the moment I pressed send on Something In The Water. "Hoping that someone at BBC Introducing would hear it. And now look, eight or nine years later, we're headlining the gaff. I just want to say thank you to everybody who's been on the journey with me from the beginning to now. This is just the start, but tonight is a big one. If you're coming, Liverpool, I'll see you there. Thank you so much for Radio 1 for believing in me from the beginning." Tom will join the likes of Natasha Bedingfield, Biffy Clyro, Katy B and Nia Archives tonight, as they play to a sold-out Sefton Park. Tickets for the event sold out almost instantly, but the BBC will be covering it on their various platforms. Tom's achievement comes just weeks after he opened up to the Mirror about his upcoming album, Everywhere I went, Led Me To Where I Didn't Want To Be. He said: "Everything's good, I'm really excited. The new music is definitely a different sound, so I'm looking forward to seeing if people love it or not. But in all honesty, I'm nearly 30 now and it's taken me up til now, I'm finally the artist that I wanted to be and I'm making the music that I really loved and I've taken inspiration from old records, new records and really dived into different sounds and different instruments. I've loved every second of it. Hopefully it goes well."

Pregnant Vick Hope tearful as she bids goodbye to Radio 1 co-stars on final day
After weeks of quiet speculation and subtle online clues, Vick Hope only recently confirmed that she and husband Calvin Harris are expecting their first child together BBC Radio 1 star Vick Hope was showered with presents as she temporarily bid farewell to her co-stars before heading on maternity leave. After weeks of quiet speculation and subtle online clues, Vick Hope only recently confirmed that she and husband Calvin Harris are expecting their first child together. 'This is my final week,' she told listeners during her drive time slot with co-hosts Jamie Laing and Katie Thistleton this week. 'I wanted to share that with you because we've had such a lovely time over the last few weeks. That time is coming to an end for a bit because I'm going on maternity leave next week.' Jamie quickly added his support, saying: 'You're an amazing friend, an amazing person, and you're just going to be an amazing mum.' Vick also took the opportunity to explain why she never made a formal announcement, despite ongoing curiosity from fans and media. 'This is not an announcement, by the way. People keep saying are you going to announce, are you going to announce? And I'm like, I'm not the King. I do not see the point, it's not for me,' she said. 'I'll be honest, I struggle with anything that's personal or private. I will tell you a story about eating a kebab out of a bin, that's one thing. But there's a line and so I've never been that big on sharing. Particularly because I've just been enjoying this privately and quietly.' On Tuesday, Vick took to her Instagram page to share the love she received from her co-stars before heading on maternity leave. She shared snaps of herself posing with co-star Jamie giggling. She had had arm wrapped around his shoulder as he laughed and pointed at the camera. Vick also shared a snap of the red velvet cake her co-stars got for her as well as a few presents. In the snaps, she rocked a gorgeous baby blue floor-length dress that accentuated her baby bump. She captioned the post: "Final @bbcradio1 Going Home show with just the two of us for a little while, it's been such an absolute blast! "Thank you for the love and the laughs these last few months sweet sweet @jamielaing, all the team, and of course our amazing listeners. Legends, the lot of ya." Jamie also shared a message for Vick, explaining: 'To the sweetest soul, who goes on maternity leave today - what a blast we've had. "You're kind, caring, patient and put up with everything I do. Thank you for sharing your broadcasting secrets and thank you for being an all round legend!! Will miss you dude!" Giovanna Fletcher, and Ashley Louise James.

Vick Hope finally reveals pregnancy - and date she's going on maternity leave from BBC Radio One 'Will miss you dude.' Vicky shared the baby news live on Radio 1 this week, telling Jamie Laing: "I should probably also say this is my final week before I go on maternity leave." Jamie told her: "You're an amazing friend, an amazing person, and you're just going to be an amazing mum,." She replied: "Oh, thank you." Vick appeared to celebrate her baby shower a couple of weeks ago as she shared a picture playing a baby shower game - during a meal with friends. Vick and Calvin certainly have solid foundations to give a baby the best possible early life. Calvin and Vick have a stunning 138-acre organic farm in Ibiza, known as Terra Masia. The Spanish estate produces fruit, vegetables, eggs, and wine, and represents Harris's shift from jet-set lifestyle to a more rural affair. A source told The Sun in 2022: 'Calvin employs an expert team, including farmers and chefs, but he's also hands-on, regularly getting involved in planting and other farm activities. He's truly passionate about the project.' They also have a 10-acre estate in the Cotswolds, which Calvin purchased for £3.6m in 2019. Over the last few years a bespoke new mansion has been built on the Oxfordshire site which will become the family's primary residence.
