CPW searches for missing boater at Lake Pueblo
(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Southeast Region (CPW SE Region) reported that crews are conducting a recovery operation for a missing boater at Lake Pueblo State Park on Saturday, May 31, around 2:30 p.m. This event takes place two weeks after a man drowned at Lake Pueblo while rescuing kids from the water. Child's heroics saves child in New Jersey after accidentally falling into Delaware River, police say
A child was rescued from the Delaware River Friday afternoon after accidentally falling into the water at a boat ramp in Burlington, police said. The City of Burlington Police Department said just before 3:00 p.m. on May 23, a child accidently fell into the river. Another child nearby immediately jump into the water to hold the fallen child above water, helping the child stay afloat and remain calm. A passing boater witnessed the situation and helped both children return safely to shore, authorities said. The police department thanks the swift response of both the child and boater that no one was injured. "We commend the bravery displayed by the juvenile who acted without hesitation and express our appreciation to the boater who intervened," police said in a press release. All individuals involved have been identified. No emergency services were required, and authorities said no further investigation is needed.

Body recovered from Wisconsin's Lake Monona during week-long search for missing boater
DANE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Late Friday night, authorities say a body was recovered from Wisconsin's Lake Monona while search efforts were ongoing for a boater who went missing a week prior. Deputies with the Dane County Sheriff's Office say that around 9:45 p.m. on May 23, search teams recovered a male body while on Lake Monona. The release states that detectives 'will continue their investigation' and the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office will be performing additional testing to confirm the identity of the man. Three people dead after two-vehicle Marinette County crash, missed stop sign Saturday's release did not specifically note anything about the boater who went missing when a group's sailboat capsized on Friday, May 16. However, search efforts have been ongoing on Lake Monona for the missing man since last week. The Dane County Sheriff's Office would like to thank first responders from the Madison Fire Department, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Fontana Fire Department, along with volunteers from Bruce's Legacy, Wisconsin K9 SOS Search and Rescue and other community members who assisted in the extensive search efforts over the last week. Stranded boater, 2 kids rescued on Mississippi River in western Wisconsin
BUFFALO COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Thanks to the use of a new drone, deputies in western Wisconsin were able to find a stranded boater with two kids who were stuck on the Mississippi River. A Facebook post from the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office details the incident that began on Saturday night. Deputy Bresette reportedly found the stranded boater who had run out of gas on the Mississippi River before the arrival of a Wisconsin DNR Warden.
