Minimum wage to increase to $24.94 an hour from July 1
Sky News business reporter Edward Boyd discusses the minimum wage lifting by 3.5 per cent following the Fair Work Commission's ruling.
'An extra 84 cents an hour, look, a three-and-a-half per cent pay rise coming in from the first of July as expected,' Mr Boyd said.
'Looking at the figures from the ASX 200, the market thinks this was a good decision from the Fair Work Commission, it wasn't too high, it wasn't too low either.'
