Shocking moment Brits cheer as two men engage in street brawl while woman begs them to stop in latest violent scene involving Brits to spark anger in Tenerife
Two men have been captured having a vicious fight on film as a crowd of Brits cheer them on at the holiday island of Tenerife. Footage from Playa de las Américas, a purpose built holiday resort, and shared to Instagram showed the men throwing hard punches at each other and dozens egged them on, with just a handful of people trying to break up the fight. It's not currently clear why the fight, which happened in the early hours of Saturday morning. Though the pair looked evenly matched, swinging their fists and legs at each other for a few seconds, one man, seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts, caught the other's face with his fist which sent him to the ground. As the shirtless man was seen scrambling to safety, a British woman could be heard screaming: 'Stop it! Just stop it!' As the shirtless man was seen running, she was heard screaming: 'Please stop it, this is bullying!' He was apparently tripped up by a bystander, giving his opponent a chance to tackle him to the floor and beat him relentlessly. This gave others in the crowd the idea to join in, and several people were seen swarming the two men. The footage, shared to social media, drew heavy criticism One person, seen in a black hat, T-shirt and shorts, was spotted taking a run up before kicking the shirtless man in the back. Though the pair were initially held back from each other, giving the shirtless man a chance to breath, the video cuts to a few seconds later where he is being brutally punched in the face over and over again before they lock each other's arms up. Finally, the pair were pull away from each other. The footage, shared to social media, drew heavy criticism. One social media user said: 'Instead of calling the police or trying to separate them, they encourage him to fight the other guy. I'm really amazed at the s***ty tourism we really have.' Another wrote: 'Police security is zero, what a shame.' It comes days after two British women were caught on camera brawling in the street at a popular Tenerife nightspot with the footage sparking fury among locals. A shocking video shows the pair violently tussling on the ground in Playa de Las Américas while leering yobs cheer them on. At the start of the clip, one of the women appears to tackle the other, sending her crashing onto the tarmac. The holidaymakers then exchange several punches before finally being pulled apart by bystanders. This latest incident has intensified calls for increased police presence and tighter regulation of nightlife activity. Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the altercation, but the video's widespread circulation has already reignited debates about the impact of mass tourism on public order in Tenerife's most visited areas.

Innocent bystander dies in crash linked to police pursuit for domestic violence
( — The Sacramento Police Department released more information on Saturday night after an innocent bystander died after being involved in a 7-vehicle crash that was caused by a man who fled from police after a June 1 domestic call. According to SPD, on June 1, officers received a report of domestic violence in the 7300 block of Farm Dale Way. The suspect has been identified as Daniel Cunningham, 33, of Sacramento, who fled before officers arrived at the scene. At around 10:15 a.m. Saturday morning, SPD stated that the officers were called back 7300 block of Farm Dale Way for a request for a civil standby. The victim from June 1, who police said was assaulted by Cunningham, called and requested assistance to gather her stuff from the home. An officer conducted records checks and had determined that Cunningham was a parolee at large who had an active felony warrant for his arrest, SPD said. While the officers were on scene, another officer saw that he was in a vehicle close by. Bystander dies in 7-vehicle crash amid high-speed police chase in Sacramento 'This suspect had a fresh domestic violence want for his arrest,' said an SPD Officer Anthony Gamble. 'He was also a parolee at large, and so our officers had an obligation to bring this person to justice.' At this time, officers activated their emergency lights and sirens to attempt to stop the vehicle, but Cunningham failed to yield to the officers, which started a small pursuit, according to SPD. The officers lost sight of his vehicle. Gamble said, 'He made the decision to run, he made the decision to drive at a high rate of speed. He put himself and everyone else's lives in danger by his actions, and he caused this collision that took the life of someone who was not involved in this whatsoever.' The vehicle traveled westbound on Florin Road and ultimately crashed into seven vehicles at the intersection of Florin Road and Greenhaven Drive in South Sacramento, SPD said. An adult male who was in one of the vehicles that was struck by Cunningham was pronounced dead at the scene by fire personnel. SPD stated that Cunningham fled from the vehicle on foot but was arrested by officers and a K9. He was then taken to a local hospital for medical treatment and has been cleared for incarceration. Cunningham has been booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on charges related to parole violation, domestic violence, and felony pursuit charges, according to SPD. Pedestrian dies from injuries sustained in Modesto crash SPD reached out to CHP and requested its Major Accident Investigation Team to conduct a collision investigation to determine if there will be more charges added relating to the crash. The identity of the decedent will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner's Office after the next of kin has been notified, SPD said. American Heart Association celebrates passage of Illinois bill training dispatchers to give CPR instructions
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — The American Heart Association has found only one out of three adults feel confident enough to perform CPR in an emergency. A bill in the state capitol wants to increase those numbers. That bill will require emergency dispatchers to get telecommunicator CPR training to direct instructions to callers. Immediate CPR by a bystander can dramatically increase the survival rate for cardiac arrest victims. Advocates said making sure all dispatchers are certified will help everyone, even people who already have been trained to give CPR. Illinois may update missing person database policy with bill in Statehouse 'Kind of the emotional impact that seeing someone have a sudden cardiac arrest in front of you, it takes a toll,' said Sarah Lackore, Illinois Government Relations Director for the American Heart Association. 'Having that guidance there to walk you through how to do CPR is invaluable.' Research presented at the Heart Association's Resuscitation Science Symposium last year shows bystander CPR was given to women 44% of the time and 40% of the time to men with instructions from a dispatcher, versus 9% for women and 11% for men without any assistance from 911. This study also found no statistically significant difference between women and men with directions from 911. Without assistance, women are less likely to get CPR. Bill preventing AI instructors in Illinois community college courses passes Senate 'Previous research has shown that hesitance may be a reason women are less likely than men to receive CPR in public,' said Dr. Audrey Blewer, the study's lead author, in an AHA news release. 'Some of the concerns identified were concerns about touching a woman's chest during the lifesaving technique or fear the action could be perceived as assault.' The bill passed unanimously out of both chambers of the legislature and is now on the governor's desk. The American Heart Association has several online resources to help bystanders learn Hands-Only CPR to save lives. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Dingo stabbed on K'gari (Fraser Island) after biting child
A dingo has been stabbed after it bit a child on K'gari, formerly known as Fraser Island, off the Queensland coast on Friday afternoon. The Queensland Ambulance Service said the boy was bitten on his underarm just before noon and rushed off the island for medical treatment. It's believed the child's injuries aren't serious. A bystander allegedly stabbed the dingo, seriously injuring it. It's the latest in string of dingo incidents on the island in recent months. Earlier this month a dingo swam into knee-deep water and bit a fisherman on his leg, while three women were attacked when they were on a tour in April.
