My wife has months to live but Aviva rejected our £20k life insurance claim
In 2019 my wife was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and began taking medication to prevent it from spreading. Sadly this medication stopped working last year and the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes, spine, liver and breast. She had emergency surgery in October to remove a large tumour in her bowel and is about to start chemotherapy to try to slow down the progression of the cancer. We have a decreasing life insurance policy with the insurer Aviva and have been paying £20.46 a month since 2011. The policy also gives us a payout if either of us are diagnosed with a terminal illness. We first claimed in 2019 but Aviva rejected our claim because her doctor said she was likely to survive
