Do probiotics for dogs work? Owners follow gut instinct
Before Vinnie was put on a new diet and probiotics he was miserable.
'I was at my wits' end — he was so sick,' said Natasha Matanle, 34, the owner of the four-year-old cockapoo, who lives in south London.
At the beginning of the year Vinnie began vomiting and having diarrhoea, sometimes up to 16 times a night. He was soon in and out of hospital, treated with drips and antibiotics, before being diagnosed with pancreatitis.
He lost 2kg from his 7kg frame. Once a lively and loving dog, he became withdrawn and anxious, trembling at the slightest noise. 'I felt so helpless', Matanle said.
Then she consulted a canine nutritionist. After identifying suitable meats for Vinnie and seeing his condition improve, she began sprinkling
