Plenty of sunshine today, tracking smokey return

Today: Few clouds, high 71 Tonight: Mostly clear, low 48 Monday: Sunny skies, high 79 (56) Tuesday: Sunny & warmer, high 85 (65) Wednesday: Clouds increasing, high 88 (68) Thursday: Showers/ t-storms, high 84 (67) Mainly sunny skies will be the primary theme for Sunday. With less smoke and clearer conditions this is going to be the better of the two weekend days. Temperatures to kick off the month of June are still going to lean on the cooler side only reaching the low 70s. Overnight continues the calm weather over the area. With a center of high pressure in the Ohio River Valley, winds will become very light. Very cool temperatures stick around with low temperatures in the upper 40s. This is about 10 degrees colder than it should be for this time of year. Much warmer conditions arrive by the start of the work week. Highs starting Monday will reach the upper 70s under mostly sunny skies. This will be the warmest day in central Ohio in over two weeks. Another round of Canadian wildfire smoke is forecast to move back into central Ohio by Monday evening. There will be moments through at least the first half the week that bring in thicker smoke plumes at times. This is all going to occur under mainly clear skies. Temperatures will increase every day through the middle of the week. By Wednesday highs are expected to reach the upper 80s. Next chance for showers and storms returns late Wednesday along a frontal boundary. This system will become stationary by the time is arrives to central Ohio. Rain continues through the end of the workweek and some of the weekend. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Weekend starting off with partly sunny skies

Today: Partly sunny, high 67 Tonight: Mostly clear, low 48 Sunday: Isolated showers, high 70 (54) Memorial Day: Partly cloudy, high 66 (58) Tuesday: Rain showers, high 73 (59) Wednesday: Chance of t-storms, high 74 (58) The holiday weekend begins with partly sunny skies as cool temperatures stick around. The good news is that a center of high pressure south of Ohio will keep weather locally dry continuing a decent break from the rain. During the overnight hours conditions are expected to stay calm and cool. Temperatures will fall to the mid-upper 40s. This is roughly 10 degrees below normal for this time of year. Otherwise, the weather tonight will stay fairly uneventful. Sunday brings in a few more clouds during the day. A few areas may even see an isolated chance for rain showers by the afternoon. Most areas, however, will stay dry. Highs will reach the upper 60s. Calmer conditions and more sunshine return by Memorial Day Monday, but cooler than average temperatures will stick around. More widespread rain makes its way back to central Ohio by Tuesday. The rest of the week will see at least some chances for scattered showers and storms every day. This includes the chance for rain during most of the Memorial Tournament. Temperatures will stay on the cooler side but slowly approach seasonable by next weekend. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
