Kendrick Lamar Joins An Elite Group Of Stars As He Holds At No. 1
Kendrick Lamar and SZA's 'Luther' claims a thirteenth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Hot 100, ... More joining the ranks of the longest-running chart-toppers ever. NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA - FEBRUARY 06: Kendrick Lamar poses for a photo onstage at the Super Bowl LVIX Pregame & Apple Music Super Bowl LVIX Halftime Show Press Conference at Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on February 06, 2025 in New Orleans, Louisiana. (Photo by) Once again, Kendrick Lamar and SZA reign atop the Hot 100, the most important songs ranking in the United States. The two lead the tally with 'Luther,' which has turned into a career-defining smash for both artists. The track has now dominated the roster for a lucky 13 consecutive frames. As it continues to command to roster, 'Luther' enters rarefied territory and joins the ranks of some of the most successful compositions in American music history. 'Luther' is one of fewer than 20 songs in the more than half-century since the Hot 100 began to lead for 13 frames. As Lamar and SZA hold on, they join an elite group and match some of the greatest superstars of all time. Currently, two tracks are tied for the record for the most time spent at No. 1 on the Hot 100. 'Old Town Road' by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus, and 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' by Shaboozey both jointly claim that honor, with 19 weeks atop the tally. 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' by Mariah Carey trails just one frame behind those country/hip-hop hits and will likely catch up later this year, when the seasonal smash almost certainly returns to the summit. In between those three champions and 'Luther' are several other generation-defining smashes. Carey claims another two placements, including one alongside Boyz II Men, as 'One Sweet Day' led for 16 weeks. So too did 'Despacito' by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, and Justin Bieber, as well as 'Last Night' by Morgan Wallen. Tracks by Harry Styles, Whitney Houston, Elton John, and The Black Eyed Peas also appear on the ranking of the longest-running No. 1s of all time. 'Luther' is still performing spectacularly well across all metrics that feed into the Hot 100, but it may be dethroned in just a matter of days. Morgan Wallen's new album, I'm the Problem, arrived this past Friday (May 16), and it is poised to be so massive that one tune from the set may rocket to No. 1 on the Hot 100, though it's not yet clear which one will rule. The country singer-songwriter could occupy multiple spots inside the top 10 on the Hot 100, and he may continue to promote the project for months to come, perhaps collecting even more champions and top 10s. After the initial surge, Wallen could continue to dominate the Hot 100 — or Lamar and SZA could return to the summit, collecting a fourteenth week at No. 1, at which point they would join an even more exclusive group of hitmakers and blockbuster singles.

Only Surviving Member of 'The Monkees' Shares Exciting News: 'Mind-Blowing'
When you think 60s pop rock, you think of The Monkees. The band reached icon status for their multiple chart-topping hits back in the day, including "I'm a Believer," "Last Train to Clarksville," and "Daydream Believer." Since the band's breakup in the 70s, they've seen several reunions until the untimely passing of all members of the band, aside from drummer Micky Dolenz. Dolenz has been spending the past three years touring and celebrating the Monkees, and he has some exciting news to share. Dolenz will be taking over the Boston City Winery for a couple nights for what he's calling a "cultural experience." Fans showed their support in the comments of the post. "He's still doing great good for him. 🥰" "Micky's shows are an absolute must-see!!" "Mind-blowing!!! He's 80!!!! He's been making people smile for several decades. 😀 A true living legend. ✨️⭐️✨️" It seems that in the fans eyes, Dolenz has only gotten better with age. If I wasn't before, I'm a believer now. Tickets are on sale for the City Winery shows, so get yours before they sell out!🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬
