'16 and Pregnant' star Whitney Purvis reveals 16-year-old son Weston has died: 'Life is so cruel and unfair'

Whitney Purvis, who starred in a 2009 episode of MTV's 16 and Pregnant, is mourning the death of the son she welcomed on the show. "This is so hard to write," she began a Facebook post on Monday. "My beautiful son, Weston, has passed away. He was only 16 years old. Life is so cruel and unfair. I just don't understand. Oh my baby is gone and I don't know what to do with myself. He was so perfect. This is really my worst nightmare come true." Purvis, who welcomed her first child with Weston Gosa Sr., was one of six pregnant teens featured in the season. Four of them — Farrah Abraham, Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood, and Catelynn Lowell — went on to star in the popular reality series Teen Mom. In her heartbreaking post, Purvis asked, "How do you go on in life after losing a child? I'm in disbelief, this cannot be happening. I don't want it to be real. I would do anything just to hold him. Words just can't describe the pain I am feeling." Then, she directed the message to her son. "I love you so much, Weston Owen Gosa. God, I love you so much. You are my heart. I was so proud of the young man you were becoming. I just can't go on without you. Rest in Peace, my angel. You are gone too soon. April 2, 2009 - June 2, 2025." An hour later, Purvis updated her profile picture to one with a young Weston. "Rest in Peace, my baby Weston," she wrote alongside it. "I love you forever, precious. I'll never understand why life has to be so cruel. You'll always be my baby."Weston's stepmom, Amy Gosa, made her own Facebook post in which she said that an autopsy would be done soon. She said Weston had struggled with health issues including diabetes, but the family was "in shock" after being unable to wake him up on Monday. An ambulance transported him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, she shared. "He was the most amazing son I could have asked for. He was brilliant, smart, funny and had so much potential in life," Gosa wrote. "It doesn't feel real. Please keep our family and Whitney in your thoughts and prayers as we mourn such a brilliant amazing life that was our son." Purvis and Weston Gosa Sr. broke up after their son was born. They got back together and welcomed a second son, River, who was born in 2014, before splitting again, per PEOPLE. Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly

‘Beautiful' girl, 9, died after she ‘slipped & fell into Thames playing with cousin' as heartbreaking tributes paid

THE heartbroken family of a nine-year-old girl who died after entering the River Thames have paid tribute to their "beautiful angel". Emergency services had been frantically searching for the child who disappeared under the water by the Royal Terrace Pier, in Gravesend, Kent on May 30. 2 She has now been named on social media as 'Bia' and is understood to have been just nine years old. The alarm was raised at about 1:45pm yesterday after two children got into difficulty in the river. It is understood Bia was playing with her cousin near the water when she slipped and the current pulled her in. A young boy was quickly recovered whilst an urgent rescue operation was carried out for Bia. Devastated members of her family, reportedly from Romania, say she "had her whole life ahead of her" but "but she had the life that was decided by God". Last night, relative Mirela Turcanu posted on social media: "Oh, she left us speechless, this little girl had her whole life ahead of her, but she had the life that was decided by God. "Smooth road to heaven, my niece." Leon Alkapone described her as "my niece, my beautiful angel". Another post said: "Rest In Peace, Little Angel, Bia. May God comfort the grieving family." At 11.40am on Saturday, a body was recovered from the river, near Gravesend and formal identification by the girl's next of kin took place. Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage and a report will be prepared for the coroner. Influencer Emilie Kiser files lawsuit to shield the public from 'graphic' details of three-year-old son's drowning

Social media influencer Emilie Kiser, 26, has filed a lawsuit against multiple agencies in Arizona to block the details of her three-year-old son's death from the public. Kiser's son died on May 18 six days after he was found unresponsive in a backyard pool in Arizona, according to Chandler Police Department. Kiser is a popular mommy blogger with four million followers on TikTok and frequently shares her life as a mother on the platform. The influencer filed a lawsuit using her maiden name, Henrichsen, on Tuesday against the City of Chandler, Chandler Police Department, Maricopa County, the county's medical examiner's office, and other agencies to permanently block public access to records related to her son, Trigg's, death. The lawsuit said that Kiser was 'going through a parent's worst nightmare right now' and the family 'desperately wanted to grieve in private.' 'Trigg's death has become a media frenzy. Appallingly, 100+ public record requests have been filed with both the City of Chandler and the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office,' the lawsuit continued. 'Emilie is trying her best to be there for her surviving son, two-month-old Theodore. But every day is a battle,' the suit said. Kiser's attorneys argued that the records presumably contain 'graphic, distressing, and intimate details' of the toddler's death. They continued that public access to the records 'has no bearing on government accountability.' 'To allow disclosure in these circumstances would be to turn Arizona's Public Records Law into a weapon of emotional harm, rather than a tool of government transparency,' the lawsuit added. The suit said that Kiser or her representation haven't reviewed the police report, security camera footage, scene photos, 911 recording, or autopsy photos. Kiser's lawyers added that the records weren't available to them, and the influencer doesn't intend to ever view the documents. In response to the lawsuit, Jason Berry, the director of communications for Maricopa County, which was named as a defendant, told NBC News, 'When Maricopa County learned the family was pursuing a court order to prevent the release of these records, the Office of the Medical Examiner worked with the family to place a seal on the record.' Kiser's son, Trigg, died on May 18 after a drowning incident at the family's home on May 12. A neighbor told at the time that the influencer's house was swarmed with five police cars after the incident. Emergency responders arrived and performed life-saving efforts until Trigg was airlifted to Phoenix Children's Hospital for specialized care. Kiser hasn't posted since the tragedy, but her followers flooded her accounts with messages of support and condolences before she turned off her comment sections. The Arizona influencer and her husband, Brady, became parents to Trigg in July 2021. The couple revealed they were having another child in September 2024, posting a photo of Kiser's sonogram with the caption, 'WE GOTTA BABY GROWING.' 'We can not wait to add another angel to our family. Whatever you are, we love you so much already.' In March, the family announced the arrival of their second son, Teddy, writing on Instagram, 'We love you so much and our hearts feel like they are going to burst.'

Safiyya Vorajee soaks up the sun in Dubai as she shares touching tribute to her late daughter Azaylia

Safiyya Vorajee paid tribute to her late daughter Azalyia while on holiday in Dubai. An Instagram post shared by the influencer, 34, on Friday revealed she had enjoyed a getaway to the lavish Burj Al Arab hotel. Posing in a coastal swimming pool with a picturesque sunset behind her, the beauty reclined in an animal print swimsuit. As Safiyya gazed up at the sky in a final snap, she told her followers that's how she remembers her daughter Azaylia, who died in 2021 at just eight months old. The touching caption read: 'You'll always find me looking up at the sky because that's where my favourite person in the world lives.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Azaylia, who Safiyya shares with former footballer Ashley Cain, 34, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer at just eight weeks old which left her with tumours on her lungs, stomach and kidneys. She underwent several rounds of chemotherapy but unfortunately lost her life on 24 April 2021 after a courageous battle. Safiyya and Ashley, who have since split, launched The Azaylia Foundation following the loss of their daughter - a charity aimed at helping families going through similar struggles. The foundation has since raised more than £1.5million, with its founders winning a number of awards for their work with the charity. Just a matter of days ago Safiyya revealed she is at last ready to 'live her life' again after the unimaginable heartache she suffered four years ago. Accompanying a photo of her relaxing on a plane the 34-year-old penned: 'I love being up here with you. 'At the start of this year, I promised myself to try and live again, not just survive, but to truly find happiness even when I didn't know where to begin. I started small, with a routine, and every time I fell, I chose to rise again. You don't recover overnight. It's taken me years to even reach this point. 'I've worked deeply on myself, my healing, my purpose, my work, my body, and my mind. Five months into the year and I'm proud of how little I've fallen since making that promise to myself. Grief will forever live within me, but so does growth, strength, and self-love. 'Let me show you there is something in life called a rebirth. It's when pain doesn't break you forever, it transforms you. It's when you honour your past but choose to embrace life again (with my angel beside me)' 'Before flying to Dubai, I visited Azaylia's garden. I said my prayers with a heavy heart, always feeling the ache of not having her here or being able to share holidays together . But in the sky, I felt her with me. That connection is all I have, and it's enough to keep me going.' On a similar note, Safiyya told MailOnline in an exclusive interview in late-2024 that she finally feels ready to have another child after the death of her first daughter. It came after Ashley became a father for the third time last year, having welcomed a son called Aliyas with a mystery woman and another named Atlas last year. It is not known if Atlas's mother is the same woman. Accompanying a photo of her travelling to Dubai, just a matter of days ago Safiyya revealed she is at last ready to 'live her life' again after the unimaginable heartache she suffered four years ago Safiyya said: 'I think what you do with grief is learn how to carry it, and for me, always turning pain into purpose allows me to feel stronger. 'Every day is hard when you wake up in the morning, and it's just creating measures and putting different boundaries in place. 'As long as I'm continuing Azaylia's legacy, they're the things that actually carry me through.' She added: 'For me it (the idea of having more children) always goes round in circles in my mind, because it's a really scary thing for me, but I always believe that if I'm with the right person, I don't shut it down now,' she said. 'I'm open to that as well. I'm open to rebuilding our family and a home, and if I don't find the right man then I won't be, but I am open to that in the future.' And the star is taking things seriously, even exploring the option of freezing her eggs although she explained that a doctor told her it wasn't necessary. She told MailOnline: 'I actually went to one of the people who freezes your eggs, and basically, he told me that it's not necessary for me to freeze my eggs right now. 'I don't know the ins and outs, and I need to get more information, but he told me that if he took the eggs out, and I then tried to get pregnant with my next partner, then it could be the fact that there's not enough fertile eggs in there where you could get pregnant at this age.
