I'm a 5-foot-9 Traveler, and These Are the 12 Best Tall-friendly Travel Pants—From Vuori, Athleta, and Lululemon

At 5-foot-9, I'm constantly looking for ways to make travel more comfortable, especially regarding what I wear in transit. One of the simplest ways to upgrade any travel day is with a breathable, lightweight, and truly comfortable outfit that doesn't sacrifice style. As a travel writer who's frequently on the go, I've tested a wide range of pants across different cuts, materials, and brands to find the most reliable options for every kind of trip. Linen pants are my go-to for tropical getaways, while overnight flights that lead straight into meetings call for polished trousers that still deliver top-tier comfort. From breezy wide-leg pants to yoga-inspired styles and sleek Lululemon joggers made specifically in tall sizes or extended inseams, I've curated 12 pairs of travel pants that look as good as they feel, wherever you're headed. 'As a tall girl, the length of the product was perfect,' wrote one Amazon reviewer of these buttery-soft, breathable palazzo pants from Amazon-loved brand Sevego. Another shopper, who's 6-foot-1, added that they're 'super comfortable,' 'wrinkle-free,' and versatile enough to 'dress up or wear like yoga pants.' Available in black, dark blue, and grey, the pull-on style features a stretchy high waist and ribbon-like tie strings that lend an elevated, first-class-worthy touch for any travel day look. These top-rated Athleta wide-leg pants are made from 100 percent certified European flax linen, so they're breathable, lightweight, and ideal for warm-weather travel. Designed with a tall-specific inseam, they offer extra length through the leg and rise—no awkward ankle crop here. The high-rise waistband has a stretchy drawcord for an adjustable fit, and zippered side pockets keep essentials secure in transit. They're also machine washable, making them as practical as they are polished. $295 at These slim-fit Eloise slacks from Aether are made from a recycled stretch fabric that holds its shape beautifully, even after long-haul flights. The navy pair I've worn on countless trips still looks brand new thanks to a subtle sheen and zero pilling. Ribbed side panels give the pants a trouser-like silhouette, but they feel as soft as sweatpants. Tall travelers will appreciate the elongated, tapered leg and elevated, tailored look that makes them office-ready the second you land. With over 3,600 reviews and a near-perfect rating, Quince's wide-leg linen pants are a favorite for a reason. Made from 100 percent European flax linen, they're breathable, soft, and hold up well through travel days. Available in tall-friendly lengths, reviewers over 5-foot-9 consistently praise the flattering cut and full-length fit. The polished drape makes them easy to dress up or down, whether you're sightseeing or heading straight to dinner. $118 at If you prefer pants without drawstrings, choose these wide-leg pants from Vuori with a stretchy waistband. Made from a moisture-wicking, silk-like fabric, they strike the perfect balance between relaxed sweatpants and polished trousers. Tall reviewers love the long inseam and flattering fit, and many have bought multiple colors, including black, Java, milkweed, and burnt sienna. They're great for travel days when comfort meets style. These Amazon shopper-approved wide-leg pants offer the comfort of yoga pants with the look of dress pants—perfect for long-haul travel. Made from 92 percent cotton with a bit of polyester for stretch, they provide luxurious softness and flexibility. The 34-inch inseam suits people who are 5-foot-7 and taller, ensuring a flattering full-length fit. Reviewers praise them as both 'comfy and classy' for their versatile travel style. Another stylish Quince find, these super wide-leg pants, crafted from stretchy double-knit ponte fabric, deliver an ultra-classy look with pintuck seam detailing. Tall travelers will appreciate the generous length—one 5-foot-6 reviewer wears wedges to avoid dragging, so they're perfect for even taller legs. The wrinkle-resistant fabric keeps you looking polished after long travel days. Athleta's high-rise trousers feature breathable, quick-drying, and wrinkle-resistant fabric, blending elevated athleisure with polished style. Available in seven colors—from neutrals like black and off-white to pastel blue and gray—people over 5-foot-7 rave they're 'the perfect travel pants,' offering a look that's dressier than sweats but just as comfortable. The Stratus Wide-leg Pants are made from breathable textured satin that's great for long flights or lounging. The floor-skimming length and generous legroom work well for tall women who need extra length without altering hems. With a comfortable elastic waistband and easy packability, they look just as stylish with sneakers as with heels. Whether you're tall or extra tall, these high-rise pull-on pants offer plenty of length and a relaxed fit that moves with you. They're pre-washed to prevent shrinkage, so the fit stays consistent wash after wash. Reviewers praise the breathable fabric and smooth feel—some say it's so comfortable it almost feels like wearing a skirt. Style them with a fitted tank for a polished look or a hoodie for casual travel ease. You don't have to be a dancer to love these Lululemon joggers, which come in a 32-inch inseam to suit taller women. One reviewer who's 5-foot-8 says the length is just right. They include handy front and back pockets for travel essentials, a double lining to keep you warm on chilly flights, plus sweat-wicking fabric for when it gets warm. Lululemon's patented Lycra fabric adds stretch, helping the joggers hold their shape. Plus, they come in 17 colors—from neutrals to bright lavender and raspberry—and sizes 0 to 20 to fit a wide range of travelers. Sometimes you just need a cozy outfit for a long flight, like a direct 16-plus hour trip to Australia. Quince's fleece pants deliver softness and warmth that reviewers rave feels 'like heaven' and 'soft and snuggly.' A 5-foot-9 traveler loved the full-length coverage, making the pants a great choice for taller travelers. Pair with the matching fleece pullover for a cozy two-piece set. Love a great deal? The Best Travel Pants For Men That Feel Comfortable And Look Polished

Whether you're embarking on a weeks-long vacation or simply getting away for the weekend, a pair of reliable travel pants is an essential wardrobe staple. I spent hours researching brands, analyzing fabrics and comparing fits to land on the best travel pants for men. My top pick overall is the Lululemon ABC Relaxed-Fit Pant, a best-selling style that's smooth, stretchy and easy to dress up or down. If you prefer to travel in sweatpants, I recommend the Duer No Sweat Jogger, an ultra-comfortable option that's elevated by the addition of back pockets. We rounded up the best travel pants for men that are comfortable, versatile and stylish. This list includes a range of styles to accommodate a variety of scenarios: There's laid-back joggers for long flights as well as sophisticated dress pants for work trips. To gain more insight into what makes a great pair of travel pants, I tapped Forbes Vetted gear editor Cam Vigliotta. In addition to sharing two personal recommendations, Vigliotta broke down what you should be looking for in terms of material, style and fit. Below, find the seven best men's travel pants to pack for your next trip. Lululemon Waist sizes: 28 to 40 | Inseam lengths: 30 to 32 | Colors: 4 total, including Sheer Oak and Obsidian | Materials: 53% elastomultiester, 47% recycled polyester The Lululemon ABC Relaxed-Fit Pant is one of the athlesiure giant's most popular styles, and it's a favorite of Vigliotta's, as well. 'I like Lululemon's ABC Pant for the same reasons everyone likes it—it's simple, a little stretchy and easy to dress up or down,' he says. Made of a wrinkle-resistant blend of elastomultiester and recycled polyester, these smooth, semi-sophisticated pants offer just enough room throughout the seat and thigh. There's an ergonomic gusset in the crotch of the pants that ensures your comfort, even when you're sitting for several hours at a time. Amazon Waist sizes: 30 to 40 | Inseam lengths: 30 to 34 | Colors: 3 total, including Charcoal and Khaki | Materials: 94% nylon, 6% spandex While Unionbay isn't as established of a brand as the others featured on this list, its thousands of positive customer reviews speak for themselves. The Rainier is a stretchy, quick-drying pair that's made of UPF 50 nylon blended with spandex. In addition to the pairs of pockets located at the waist and on the seat, you'll also find a single side pocket lower on the right leg, perfect for stashing smaller travel essentials. Customers note that these pants are comfortable enough for long-haul flights, and their resistance to moisture makes them a smart choice for inclement weather. Duer Waist sizes: 28 to 40 | Inseam lengths: 30 to 32 | Colors: 2 total, including Black and Light Fern | Materials: 62% cotton, 34% Tencel lyocell, 4% Lycra Joggers are a no-brainer for travel, if your main priority is comfort. The Duer No Sweat Jogger is made from a breathable, soft blend of cotton and Tencel; these are pants you'll find yourself reaching for at home, too—not just before a flight. They have a slim, streamlined fit throughout the leg and are secured at the waist with a drawstring closure, which keeps them from looking too relaxed. In addition to side and back pockets, a zippered leg pocket provides another spot to stash a wallet or keys. 'My husband wears joggers all the time, since they're comfortable enough for lounging but put-together enough for leaving the house,' says senior updates editor Karen Tietjen. 'He's also incredibly picky, and these are hands-down his favorite pair—they're comfy, lightweight and have the slim fit he prefers.' Quince Waist sizes: 30 to 36 | Inseam lengths: 30 to 34 | Colors: 2 total, including Black and Navy | Materials: 65% recycled polyester, 30% rayon, 5% spandex Whether you're traveling for work or a wedding, there are some instances in which you'll need to pack dress pants. Quince's Performance Stretch Dress Pants—which are the best pick for travel on our list of the best men's dress pants—are even comfy enough to wear on the plane. They're made of a stretchy blend of recycled polyester and rayon, which resists wrinkles and retains its shape in transit. At just under $50, they're also a wallet-friendly addition to your business travel wardrobe. Prana Waist sizes: 28 to 42 | Inseam lengths: 28 to 36 | Colors: 9 total, including Mud and Shadow | Materials: 97% nylon, 3% elastane For outdoor trips—think backpacking, camping and the like—Vigliotta recommends the Prana Stretch Zion Pant. 'This is technically a hiking pant, but it's really comfortable and versatile because it's loose through the leg, a little stretchy, UPF 50+ rated and outfitted with handy pockets for travel essentials,' he says. They're equipped with back pockets, side pockets and a roomy zipper cargo pocket on the left thigh, providing plenty of storage space. You can also shorten the length of the pants, thanks to a clever snap roll up feature at the hem. Huckberry Waist sizes: 28 to 38 | Inseam lengths: 32 to 34 | Colors: 4 total, including Black and Olive | Materials: 47% merino wool, 33% nylon, 14% polyester, 6% elastane Huckberry's 72-Hour collection (which includes these pants) was designed with endurance in mind—each piece can be worn for three days straight, without any signs of wear or odor. (This is super helpful if you don't have the chance to do laundry on your trip.) This style features an innovative blend of merino wool, nylon, polyester and elastane. The result is a moisture-wicking, temperature-regulating pant that can be worn all year long. In addition to side pockets, these pants have zippered back pockets that keep small items secure. Bonobos Waist sizes: 28 to 46 | Inseam lengths: 28 to 36 | Colors: 12 total, including Altoona Blue and Salem Jet Black | Materials: 94% cotton, 4% PBT, 2% elastane While jeans typically aren't the most comfortable pants to wear on hours-long plane or car rides, Bonobos' Travel Jeans will make you rethink that notion. Blending cotton with PBT (a type of polyester) and elastane, these jeans are lightweight, stretchy and flexible. Paired with a T-shirt, they're perfect for a day of sightseeing, and they can be dressed up with a button-down for dinner at the hotel. They're available in a dozen hues, so you're bound to find a shade that suits your style. At Forbes Vetted, we're dedicated to making informed recommendations on a variety of fashion topics, with dozens of stories dedicated to menswear, specifically. To assemble this list of the best men's travel pants, I tapped into my extensive industry knowledge, assembling a shortlist of trusted menswear brands with excellent reputations. When shopping for men's travel pants, first consider the nature of your trip. 'Your top priorities for travel pants should be based on what you're doing and where you're going,' says Vigliotta. Here's what to keep in mind: Comfort is paramount when it comes to travel clothes, as is wrinkle resistance. 'If you're looking for travel clothing that's breathable, durable and downright versatile, I would prioritize nylon and polyester fabric blends,' says Vigliotta. 'As synthetic fabrics, they do a great job of repelling moisture, protecting your skin from the sun and adapting to the environment.' He also recommends merino wool blends, since they naturally control temperature—and they also resist odor-causing bacteria. 'Merino just stays more fresh and comfortable between washes than synthetics, in my experience.' Most travel pants have either a zipper fly closure or a drawstring closure. 'I prefer a drawstring on flights because it's more comfortable when I'm seated for hours,' says Vigliotta. However, drawstring pants skew more casual than pants with a zipper fly—if you want to look a bit more put-together or plan on dressing up during your trip, go with the latter. In terms of fit, we generally recommend pants with a straight to relaxed leg—these offer enough room so you don't end up feeling constricted during long stretches of travel. 'If you're packing for a backpacking-style trip with lots of walking, sightseeing, and so on, look for breathable synthetic pants that fit a bit looser through the leg,' advises Vigliotta. Ideally, travel pants should be equipped with multiple pockets, and bonus points if they're zippered for extra security. And while travel pants should be practical first and foremost, it may also be important to pay attention to style, if you're traveling to a fashion-conscious destination. 'If you're heading somewhere nice, like Monaco or the Italian Riviera, you'll probably want to wear something with a bit more style, so look for fitted, wrinkle-resistant options that won't crease in your suitcase,' says Vigliotta.

8 Easy Airport Outfits That'll Keep You Comfy and Stylish During Your Summer Travels—for Under $50

Traveling in a comfortable airport outfit is crucial, especially for long flights. The last thing you want is to be sitting in tight, restrictive clothes for hours. And don't even think about trying to change clothes in a tight plane bathroom. Amazon's fashion store is filled with thousands of airport outfits that are lightweight, stylish, and, most importantly, comfortable. These travel pieces are easy to wear, and they're all less than $50. So you can feel just as good about the state of your bank account as you do during your flight. Check out our top eight summer picks below for as little as $20. This matching set may cost less than $40 but it looks expensive, so it's no wonder it's become a No. 1 best-seller on Amazon. It comes with a sleeveless top and wide-leg pants that have a little stretch in the fabric. One Amazon shopper wore the set on a flight to Italy and said it was as soft and cozy as pajamas, which is especially ideal for overnight flights. If you want to start sightseeing straight off the place, throw on this maxi dress that'll let you feel comfy and look put together through your entire journey. It has built-in pockets for storing your phone and earbuds, and it stays wrinkle-free, according to one traveler who wore it on a seven-hour flight to Mexico. Consider this matching set your secret weapon to looking elegant while going through airport security. It comes with a sleeveless sweater and trouser-inspired joggers that create a polished look. Shoppers give it their stamp of approval for long travel days, with one reviewer finding it 'incredibly comfortable' to wear on a 33-hour journey out of the country. Another fan, who bought it for an eight-hour flight to London, called it lightweight, comfortable, and breathable. This jumpsuit gives you a one-and-done outfit that's ideal if you're in a rush to get to the airport. The style has a loose fit, adjustable straps, and pockets to store small essentials when you need to be hands-free. One traveler said it made a more than 14-hour flight more 'bearable,' while another shopper said that it's so comfy, soft, and stretchy, they've worn it on five flights. While pants are probably your first thought when getting dressed for the airport, maxi dresses are just as cozy (and don't ride up). Nearly 12,000 shoppers have given this sleeveless one a five-star rating, with one shopper claiming that they were the 'most comfortable' they felt on a plane while wearing it. Another reviewer said it kept them cool when the temperature was more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit in California. You can look sleek while leaning into the athleisure trend with this simple matching set. It comes with a short-sleeve top and wide-leg pants that have a 'buttery soft' feel you can sink into while waiting for your plane to board. You'll undoubtedly make a statement in one of the vibrant shades of this matching set while you sink into its soft material that has the 'feel of a nightgown,' according to one Amazon shopper. It comes in 22 colors, including summer shades like bright red and trendy sage green, so you can look fashionable even as you deboard the plane. Rather than risk heating up in a sweatsuit, opt for this versatile beach dress that's made from a lightweight and soft material. You can layer it under a light jacket when the plane's air conditioning is strong, and wear it solo when you reach your hot weather destination. It's so versatile, you can wear it from the plane straight to the beach as a cover-up, according to one traveler. Love a great deal? I've found the best wide leg trousers for summer and they're only £15.99 - they're so good I'm tempted to buy them in every colour

Gone are the days where I'm happy to squeeze myself into tight pencil skirts in the summer, or worry about constantly shaving and fake tanning my legs for shorts. When warm weather hits now, what I'm after is a pair of comfy, flattering, lightweight trousers; the type that hit the summer brief while requiring very little effort on my part. And happily I have found them. Enter, H&M's wide pull-on trousers, which the retailer brings back every year because they are simply brilliant. I first bought a pair of these trousers last spring, when I was on maternity leave and needed practical clothes that didn't make me feel like I'd lost my sense of style along with my sleep and hairline. I chose a pair with black and white stripes, and was immediately impressed by them. Firstly, they don't really need ironing, which is an absolute winner when you're ridiculously busy. Secondly, the loose-leg shape is very flattering, cinching in at the waist and then falling to the floor in a way that disguised everything else that was going on for me post-pregnancy. Finally, there's the airy viscose fabric they are made from, which keeps you cool in hotter weather but not freezing when the sun goes behind a cloud. The reviews on the H&M website are overwhelmingly positive, so I'm clearly not alone in my love of these trousers. Wide pull on trousers £15.99 Shop I recommended sizing up, because I prefer a looser fit (and the adjustable waist means you can belt them in appropriately around the waist). Then, you can style them with just about anything you want – I've worn mine with crew-neck T-shirts and sandals for summer days, or a fine-knit jumper and loafers in the office. They work well as spring and autumn trousers too; just add trainers and a denim jacket to make them a bit cosier. As for holidays, I've got few items in my wardrobe that will roll down as small as these do to be stuffed into hand luggage for a trip away. The best thing about these trousers, apart from that they look great, is the price – just £15.99 (and £11.99 for H&M members). In fact I am tempted to get them in another colour too – there are 11 shades and patterns to choose from, including wear-with-everything khaki and a showstopping leopard print pair.
