Alix Earle is fiercely slammed after dressing 12-year-old sister for concert: 'She's a kid'

Alix Earle has taken heat after dressing her 12-year-old sister for a concert... with many viewers branding the influencer's outfit choice for the pre-teen as way too mature. The blonde beauty, 24, shared a Get Ready With Me video to TikTok which showed her helping her little sister Izabel get ready for a The Weeknd concert. The New Jersey native explained that she was going to assist Izabel in picking out her ensemble for the show. Alix shared a bunch of different options for her sister to wear... including a slew of tiny crop tops and mini skirts. At one point, the Dancing With The Stars member started to cut a black jean skirt shorter than it already was. 'I hope I'm not making this too short,' she acknowledged in the video, while ripping at the fabric. Meanwhile, Izabel sat on the floor in her room wearing a Djerf Avenue bathrobe - which costs a whopping $140 - doing her makeup. Afterwards, pre-teen tried on the skirt and was happy with the results, as she announced, 'I don't think it's [too] short because I can't feel my butt in the back.' The duo then started looking at more tops to complete the look. 'I think this one's really cute, but might be too much,' Alix said as she held up a red, strapless, corset. She then held up a tiny grey tank top with red trim, a black bow, and four black cherries across the chest. 'I think this is giving The Weeknd vibes,' she told her sister. Alix suggested Izabel try it on, but the youngster said it was 'too casual' and 'ugly.' She later suggested a cheetah-print tank top, but Izabel said she didn't want to wear it because 'it was see-through.' The video cut-off before a decision on Izabel's concert outfit was made, but Alix wrote at the end, 'She completely abandoned my skirt and went in her own direction.' In addition, a user asked what her sister ended up wearing in another video, and Alix said she didn't want to share because she was 'scared of the haters.' Dozens of shocked viewers raced to the comment section of the video and urged Alix to help retain her sister's youth for as long as she could. 'She is 12, she needs to stay a kid,' one user wrote. 'Alix, I love you, but we gotta protect our little siblings and let them be kids. C'mon girlfriend,' someone else said. 'All of those options a 25-year-old old can wear…' another person wrote. 'None of those options are good for a 12-year-old,' agreed a different outraged viewers. 'This was a hard watch… also why are you making the skirt shorter? She's 12...' read a fifth comment. 'My daughter just turned 11... I couldn't imagine. They are kids, let them be kids,' a sixth said. 'All these outfits are WAY too inappropriate for a child. I would never ever let my little 13-year-old sister walk out of the house dressed in any of those,' announced someone else. In June 2024, Alix shared an adorable moment on stage at Miami Swim Week with her younger siblings 'Also a Weeknd concert at 12? Let kids just be kids please,' they begged. 'Wow this kind of makes me sad,' another comment read. Others, however, defended Alix and her outfit suggestions. '"Let her be a kid" - when I was her age literally all I wanted was all this stuff. She's probably having so much fun as she should,' someone said. 'Y'all didn't have an older sister when you were 12 and it shows,' another user wrote. A different person commented: 'Guys, she's in my middle school, why are you acting like she's six-years-old. Alix is fine. 'Also, Alix is her cool older sister, not her mom. Obviously, mom would have the final say if she didn't like something Alix picked.' In June 2024, Alix shared an adorable moment on stage at Miami Swim Week with her younger siblings. The influencer walked with her sister Ashtin, 22, and half-sisters Izabel and Penelope, eight, during the show. Alix and Ashtin sported black and white sets, while the younger sisters twinned in bright one-pieces.
