President Boakai Consoles Republic of Ghana

The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has sent a condolence message to the Government and people of the Republic of Ghana following the unfortunate and tragic military helicopter crash, which occurred on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, within the Ashanti region of Ghana, resulting in the deaths of at least eight (8) people, two senior level officials of Government of Ghana along with six (6) other. According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Boakai, on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Liberia and in his own name, expressed profound and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family for the irreparable loss sustained. In his condolence message to the Ghanaian President His Excellency Mr. John Dramani Mahama, President Boakai pray that the Almighty God will grant President Mahama and the people of Ghana, especially those affected, strength, courage and fortitude that will be a solace to the people of Ghana as they endure this period of national mourning. He then hoped that the resilience and strength that the people of Ghana have always demonstrated during challenging circumstances will be brought to bear during this difficult period of national mourning. Saudi Leadership Extends Condolences to Iraqi President over Kut Fire Victims

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent on Thursday a message of condolence to Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid over the victims of the fire that broke out in a shopping center in Kut city. King Salman extended his warmest condolences and sincerest sympathy to the president, the families of the deceased, and the people of Iraq. Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, sent Rashid a similar cable. The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs had expressed its deep sorrow over the fire, stressing the Kingdom's full support and solidarity with Iraq and its people during this tragedy. The Ministry voiced the Kingdom's sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased and to the Iraqi government and people, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has sent a condolence message to the Government and People of the Federal Republic of Nigeria following the death of His Excellency Mr. Muhammadu Buhari, former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who died on Sunday, July 13, 2025 in London at the age of Eighty-Two (82). According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Boakai, on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Liberia and in his own name, expressed profound and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family for the irreparable loss sustained. In his condolence message to the Nigerian President His Excellency Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President Boakai stressed that former President Buhari will be remembered for the formidable role he played in consolidating the embodied Africa's struggle for a sustained multi-party democracy. The Liberian leader also stated that the former President will also be credited for being twice elected Nigeria's President. He served as a military head of state between January 1984 and August 1985. He then hoped that the resilience and strength that the people of Nigeria have always demonstrated during challenging circumstances will be brought to bear during this difficult period of national mourning.
