Nicola Peltz talks about 'core family memories' amid birthday snub
shared an emotional post about 'core family memories' after missing her father-in-law David Beckham 's 50th birthday party.
The actress, 30, Victoria and David's eldest son Brooklyn Beckham, share an Instagram post about losing both of her grandmas and spoke about reflecting on time with them.
Nicola was close to her grandmothers Bunny and Gina, whom she posted about on Sunday after all the Beckham celebrations. Bunny passed away in May 2024 at the age of 95, while Gina passed away in January 2020.
Nicola wrote in the caption: 'In life, we have core memories and this is one of my most favorite days I've ever lived.
'They were my best friends, there wasn't a day I wasn't with them. To my naunni and my gina I can't fathom the thought of not being able to hug you or hear your laugh right now - I just miss you both so much.
'The farther I get from the day you left earth scares me because I feel like I get farther from you. I remember this day so clearly, I got us all matching Dior fancy sneakers and I was so proud to match you both this whole summer.
'The Kentucky derby is today and I will never forget watching it on TV with you both every year. I love you both more than anything and think of you every second. I hope you're together right now looking after me and I hope I see you soon.
'To my forever soulmates I more than love you because the word love doesn't touch how you have made me feel growing up. I felt more than loved and that is what I feel for you both, more than love.'
Victoria wrote in the caption: 'Creating special memories with family and friends. We love you all ❤️ @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven xx.'
While each of her three youngest children were tagged in the caption of the social media photo album, she skipped Brooklyn despite usually writing something along the lines of 'missing you @brooklynbeckham' on previous occasions.
previously revealed that Brooklyn and his wife Nicola had skipped all of the events hosted by the family to celebrate the ex-soccer star's milestone birthday, leaving his parents heartbroken.
A source said: 'David is heartbroken but putting a brave face on it. Tonight is all about celebration and love, and he is swimming in it.
'Brooklyn actually informed his parents a while ago that he and his wife, Nicola, would not be attending but, of course, David and Victoria desperately hoped he would change his mind.'
A source said last month: 'Both have very much been invited as much-loved members the family. But you never know, Brooklyn and Nicola will do what they want to do.'
Another friend added: 'It would absolutely destroy David if any fall-outs carry on and become big deals.
'It would be the best birthday present ever for David to have all of his children and their partners happily having a wonderful time together. That's what really puts a smile on his face.'
It comes amid reports Brooklyn and Nicola pulled out of attending the Met Gala with the intention of attending his father David's 50th birthday bash.
A source told The Sun that Brooklyn was planning to attending David's 50th birthday party, but felt too uncomfortable to come because he felt that Nicola was being blamed for a rift with his family.
An insider has claimed: 'They canceled plans to attend the Met because they really intended to be at David's party on Saturday.
'But Brooklyn is really upset that blame for the rift has been levelled at Nicola.
'She has never told him what to do and has been nothing but supportive - she's a loyal wife.'
