JetBlue Steps Up Cost Cuts on Weaker-Than-Expected Travel Demand
JetBlue Airways Corp. plans to hasten cost reductions by eliminating some flights, pausing retrofits and parking some jets due to weaker-than-expected demand for travel, the company said in an internal memo.
The carrier's chief executive officer, Joanna Geraghty, said Tuesday in the memo that softer demand will likely delay its return to profitability.
