What you need to know for the final ice storm debris curbside collection
The City of Barrie reminds residents to have their ice storm debris at the curb by Sun., June 1 to guarantee collection one last time.
Crews will make the rounds to collect ice storm debris during the week of June 2 to 7. Only storm-related tree debris will be picked up.
The City says to help crews, neatly pile brush at the curb avoiding obstructing sidewalks, fire hydrants or roads. For thicker pieces of brush and logs, the City asks they be placed with the freshly-cut ends facing the road.
Regular yard waste will continue to be collected as usual for all non-storm-related materials.
Meanwhile, brush tipping fees at the landfill site are still being waived until Sat., May 31. The Ferndale Drive North landfill is open Tuesday to Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
