South Montgomery County: Chase suspect shot by deputy, officials say

MONTGOMERY COUNTY - Officials with Montgomery County and the Texas Rangers are investigating a deputy-involved shooting that injured a chase suspect late Friday night. What we know According to the county sheriff's office, the incident started with a traffic stop in the southern part of the county. Officials say deputies stopped a man in a white, late model Jaguar, but he fled the scene. Another deputy went after the man along with troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety. Shenandoah officers reportedly used devices to deflate the driver's tires, causing him to stop on the on-ramp to FM 1488. Officials say the driver then got out of the vehicle with a gun. The Montgomery County deputy then fired multiple shots, hitting the man. Other units came to the scene and gave the man medical treatment until he was taken to a hospital. Officials say the man's condition is currently critical, but it's not worsening. What we don't know No one involved in this incident has been identified at this time. Officials say the chase suspect is 53 years old. There is no information available on why Montgomery County deputies stopped the man initially. Riverside County deputies shoot woman allegedly armed with gun in Wildomar
A woman was hospitalized in critical condition after she was shot by Riverside County deputies on Saturday night. It happened at around 11:50 p.m. in the 32000 block of Lakeview Terrace, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office. It was there that deputies were dispatched after receiving a report of a woman armed with a firearm. They began to approach the home upon arrival, at which point the woman exited, allegedly holding a gun. "The female refused to follow the deputies' commands, pointed the weapon at the deputies, and a deputy-involved shooting occurred," said RSO's press release. Deputies said that they provided medical aid to the woman until paramedics arrived and took her to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Per department policy, the deputies were placed on paid administrative leave while the Riverside County District Attorney's Office begins to investigate the incident. No other injuries were reported. A man is in critical condition after being shot by a deputy in a Laguna Hills parking lot on Saturday morning, officials confirmed to KTLA. The Orange County Sheriff's Department said that around 8:03 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance call for a man walking around with two knives in a commercial parking lot. Once deputies arrived in the area of Ridge Route Drive and Moulton Parkway, they found a man armed with at least one knife.
