Tourist Family OTT Release: When And Where To Watch M Sasikumar Film

Fans can watch the comedy-drama film Tourist Family on JioHotstar from June 2.
M Sasikumar-starrer Tourist Family was released in theatres on May 1. The comedy-drama has been going strong at the box office despite facing tough competition from Suriya's Retro and Nani's HIT 3. The movie has been garnering positive reviews from both fans and critics for its gripping storyline and M Sasikumar's spectacular acting. Owing to the film's astounding response at the cinemas, the makers postponed the OTT release by at least a week.
The film, earlier scheduled to stream on May 28, now has a new release date for OTT. Fans can watch the blockbuster film on JioHotstar from June 2. The OTT streaming giant announced the same on their social media.
Sharing the poster of the emotional drama, JioHotstar wrote, 'Your watchlist gets a warm upgrade in 4 days. TouristFamily streaming from June 2 on #JioHotstar."

Not just fans, the film has been receiving immense praise from the bigwigs of the film industry. Acclaimed director SS Rajamouli took to social media to shower praise on the film.
Calling it 'the best cinematic experience in recent times", he wrote.
'Saw a fantastic film, Tourist Family. Heartwarming and full of rib-tickling humour. And kept me engaged from beginning to end. Abishan Jeevinth does an excellent job of writing and directing. Thank you for the most memorable cinematic experience in recent years. Do not miss it," he added.

Director Abishan Jeevinth earlier shared that he had the privilege to meet the actor who shared warm wishes for Tourist Family. On X (formerly Twitter), he penned, 'Had the privilege of meeting @dhanushkraja sir today! Grateful to receive his warm wishes for Tourist Family. He said, 'The moment I saw the teaser, I knew it would work." Thank you so much for the encouragement, sir — it truly means a lot to us!"

Rajinikanth also reached out to the director, offering his feedback. Overwhelmed by the gesture, the director shared on social media that the legendary actor called the film 'SUPER… SUPERR… SUPERRR EXTRAORDINARY!"
Coming back to Tourist Family, the Abishan Jeevinth film explores the journey of a family who are forced to move to Tamil Nadu, leaving their home in Sri Lanka. During a time of socio-political turmoil and the COVID-19 crisis, the family moves to India in search of a better life and eventually becomes Indian citizens. This emotional family saga follows the resilience, struggle, and emotional hurdles of the family as they begin to adjust to their life in a new nation.
Besides M Sasikumar, the film also boasts an ensemble cast including Simran, Yogi Babu, Ramesh Tilak, Kamalesh, Mithun Jai Shankar, and Sreeja Ravi, among others, in lead roles. As per Sacnilk, the emotional drama has minted an estimated 84 crores after 27 days of its theatrical run.
