State police identify victim in deadly Salisbury crash

State Police have identified the person who died in an early-morning crash Monday in Salisbury. At 3:30 a.m. Monday, State Police dispatchers received a report of a single-vehicle crash on North Road. The caller reported a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck crashed into a tree, and the driver was unconscious. Members of the Salisbury Fire Department arrived on scene first, and determined the driver — identified as Brian L. Young, 63, of Andover — died of injuries sustained in the crash. Woman dies after being struck on F.E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua

A woman died early Thursday after being struck by a vehicle on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua, authorities said. New Hampshire State Police began receiving reports just after 3 a.m. of a pedestrian struck on the southbound side near mile marker 0.4, just north of the Massachusetts border. Troopers and Nashua police officers arrived to find an adult female who had suffered fatal injuries. The driver of a Chevrolet Silverado remained at the scene, with the vehicle stopped in the breakdown lane, State Police said. The southbound lanes were closed for several hours during the investigation, which is ongoing. Authorities are withholding the victim's identity until relatives can be notified. A man suffered serious injuries Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash that closed multiple lanes of Interstate 93 in Windham for hours during the morning commute. State Police said the crash was reported at about 9:21 a.m. Wednesday on I-93 southbound. Investigators determined that a silver 2024 Jeep Compass struck a 2015 Peterbilt tractor-trailer before driving off the road and hitting an embankment, State Police said. The Jeep driver was airlifted to a Massachusetts hospital with serious injuries, State Police said. The truck driver was not injured. The drivers' names have not been released. Multiple southbound lanes were closed for about three hours as officials investigated the crash and the wreck was cleared. Driver killed, 2 others injured in head-on crash in New Hampshire, state police say

A New Hampshire man has died and two people were seriously injured following a crash on Route 2 in New Hampshire, state police said Tuesday. Claude Desilets, 65, of Gorham, died from his injuries following the crash late Monday afternoon, state police said Tuesday. At 5:14 p.m. Monday, troopers responded to a report of a crash on Route 2 near the Maine border in Shelburne. A preliminary investigation found that a 2018 Jeep Cherokee and a 2004 Honda Accord were involved in a head-on collision. Desilets, the driver of the Honda Accord, was treated at the scene but later died, state police said. The unidentified driver and passenger of the Jeep Cherokee were taken by ambulance to Androscoggin Valley Hospital with serious injuries. Their conditions were not known Tuesday. Both lanes of Route 2 were closed for approximately five hours while the scene was being cleared by emergency personnel. Troopers were assisted at the scene by Gorham Fire and Rescue.
