UAE weather tomorrow: Temperatures to decrease; could get dusty at times

As the UAE weather department had predicted a few days ago, temperatures continue to dip across the country. The forecast for Saturday, May 31 is for partly cloudy skies with a gradual decrease in temperatures, according to the bulletin issued by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). It could get dusty at times with blowing dust and sand reducing the horizontal visibility at times, with a speed of 15kmph and 30kmph, reaching 40kmph. The sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate, becoming rough by evening in Oman Sea. It will be mostly sunny in Abu Dhabi with temperatures in the UAE capital likely to see a high of 40°C and a low of 28°C, while in Dubai, it will be 43°C with a low of 27°C. Sharjah will witness a high of 42°C and a low of 28°C. The NCM had on May 27 said that after days of intense heat, residents across the UAE can look forward to some cooler days. Temperatures will begin to dip by four to five degrees in the coming days, a senior meteorologist had said. The scorching conditions were caused by an internal low-pressure system from the south of the UAE, pushing hot desert air across the region. Last weekend saw temperatures soar to a staggering 51.6°C in Sweihan, Al Ain, marking the hottest May day ever recorded in the country since 2003. The previous record stood at 50.2°C in Al Shawamekh, Abu Dhabi, experienced in 2009.
