The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) invites citizens and residents in Bahrain to visit its awareness stand at Marassi Galleria, starting this week until Tuesday, June 3, to learn about its latest digital projects. Lulwa Sami, Director of Communications and Marketing at the iGA, confirmed that the awareness stand is part of the Authority's ongoing efforts to enhance communication with citizens and residents, raise awareness about integrated digital services and channels, and provide necessary support. It also aims to open direct channels for feedback to help improve the Authority's digital services and projects. The stand will introduce visitors to several digital projects, including the MyGov app and the updated eKey 2.0, both available on the eGovernment app store ( and the 13th eGovernment Excellence Award 2025. Sami added that the stand coincides with the launch of the 13th eGovernment Excellence Award 2025, where visitors will learn about the award's categories, participation requirements, and evaluation criteria, especially the Citizen Award. Speaking during a meeting with the programme's 10th intake yesterday, Al Qaed said the initiative reflects the vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to nurture future leaders who can deliver excellence across government sectors under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Al Qaed described the fellowship as a model for building young Bahraini talent and equipping them with the skills and technical expertise required for the modern government sector. Goals He encouraged participants to focus on developing leadership qualities and innovative thinking to contribute to the programme's goals. The fellowship, part of Bahrain's wider Vision 2030 framework, aims to prepare future leaders who can apply data-driven approaches and creative solutions to meet emerging challenges and drive national progress. Eskan Bank has announced the integration of its digital housing platform, Bayti, with the national eKey 2.0 system, in collaboration with the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) and Beyon Connect. This marks the first integration of its kind for a private sector application following the government's 'MyGov' app. The announcement was made on the sidelines of the 'Innovation in the Social Housing Sector' Conference and Exhibition, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, under the theme 'Towards Innovative and Sustainable Housing Solutions.' The integration enables users to access the Bayti platform securely and easily through the eKey 2.0 system, which offers unified login using biometric facial recognition without the need for a password. The system also allows users full control over their personal data and how it is shared with service providers, enhancing security and data privacy. The link between Bayti and eKey 2.0 helps facilitate housing transactions with high efficiency while protecting user data and improving access to services, saving users time and effort. Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive of the Information and eGovernment Authority, expressed satisfaction with this development, describing it as a qualitative step forward in providing digital solutions that support citizens' housing needs. He noted that the collaboration reflects Eskan Bank's commitment to offering safe and convenient digital real estate services and contributes to Bahrain's digital transformation in line with the Kingdom's Economic Vision 2030. He added that the partnership supports the Kingdom's strategic objectives by enhancing the housing portfolio and enabling citizens to access advanced digital services, while reinforcing the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning's efforts to provide adequate and sustainable housing. Abdulla Taleb, General Manager of Eskan Bank, stated that the Bayti platform is the first private sector app to be integrated with the eKey 2.0 system, reflecting the bank's leadership in driving digital transformation within the housing sector. He noted that the integration enhances Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures and adds an extra layer of security and reliability to transactions, facilitating homeownership processes. Christopher Hild, Chief Executive of Beyon Connect, stated that this collaboration improves the efficiency of digital real estate services through the Bayti platform and simplifies procedures for digital homeownership, in alignment with Bahrain's Vision 2030 to build a fully integrated digital society.
