18-year-old killed after his car struck elk on Sask. highway
An 18-year-old man from Kinistino, Saskatchewan has been killed after his vehicle struck an elk on Highway 6.
According to a news release from the Saskatchewan RCMP, the crash was reported at around 11 p.m. on Thursday near Gronlid, Saskatchewan.
RCMP say the man who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
His family has been notified.
The highway was closed for about two hours during the initial response to the collision.
