Chrisley family going through ‘big adjustment' after Todd, Julie released from prison

Savannah Chrisley has a sense of relief since she welcomed her parents home from prison. In her first interview since her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were released from federal prison, the 27-year-old reality star opened up about the emotional roller coaster of reuniting with her family since they've been separated for more than two years. "Oh my gosh, it has been amazing. It's still just kind of ... it doesn't feel real," Savannah shared with People earlier this week. "We were going to bed last night. We're like, 'Is this real?' And then, I wake up this morning and my mom's walking into my bedroom, and I'm like, it's absolutely insane!" TODD CHRISLEY OPENS UP ABOUT LIFE BEHIND BARS AND HIS FIRST MOMENTS OUT OF PRISON Savannah continued to offer a glimpse into what life looks like for the famous family as they adjust to a new normal. "We are just so grateful and ready to kind of start getting back to normal life, obviously, the best we can," she said. "Everything's a whirlwind right now, and it's kind of hard to live a normal life with how things are right now, but we'll get there." While Savannah said her parents are "doing great" since being pardoned by President Donald Trump, she admitted it's been a "big adjustment" for her family. "It's obviously an adjustment. ... I think they're kind of just in shock right now," she explained. "It's just a big adjustment when you're in prison for 2½ years, and then you go back to so-called normal life. I can't imagine. "I just think it's a lot for them, but they're enjoying it. We're all spending time together," she added. "And, obviously, when they're ready to talk about their feelings and emotions, I know that they will articulate it well, like they always do." On Friday, "Chrisley Knows Best" patriarch Todd spoke out during a news conference in his home city of Nashville and gave a glimpse of what his time behind prison bars looked like. "I'll actually have more access to better products now that I'm out. "I had nothing to do other than to read and to work out. I worked out every morning at 10:45 until 12 with my buddies there. … I read and my walk with Christ became deeper." He also spoke about reuniting with his family, explaining to Fox News Digital, "I don't even know that I felt like it was real at that moment. And I woke up the first morning, and I was looking around, and I'm like, 'This is really real. I'm home.' So, I was grateful for our family to be all back in the same room, to be together, to share a meal together, to pray together and to know that we're still in the fight together." JULIE CHRISLEY IS 'DOING WELL,' FOCUSING ON FAMILY AFTER RETURNING HOME FROM PRISON This marked the first time Chrisley has spoken to the media since he and his wife were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in 2022. Stephen Mulhern breaks down in tears after year from hell as he films new TV show following beloved father's tragic death and own health battle that saw him rushed to hospital and undergo mystery procedure

Stephen Mulhern has revealed he broke down in tears while filming new travel show The Accidental Tourist, following his year from hell. In 2024 the presenter, 48, was not only left heartbroken following his beloved father Christopher's death, but also battled through his own health woes and was rushed to hospital after collapsing at a Pizza Express. The new one-off ITV show sees Stephen's pals Ant McPartlin, 49, and Declan Donnelly, 49, whisk him away to South Korea to push him out of his comfort zone to eat food he does not like and was filmed shortly after his father's death. Stephen told the Daily Mirror: 'No one's ever seen me cry on the telly, but it was quite nice to not be behind a format, I've never done that. You're going to see behind the razzle-dazzle if you like'. The Catchphrase host loved has pride in himself for starring in the show - which reportedly took him three years to be persuaded to do, but said was 'gutted' that his father was not alive to see how he got on. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. An emotional Stephen admitted: 'My dad had just passed away, so that's the only thing. I'm gutted that he didn't see it.' He continued: 'People have thankfully seen me on TV for nearly 25 years, but they may go, 'Well, what's he like at home? Is he going out with someone? I'm at the very centre of this, and it's scary'. 'They film and they film and they film and they just get everything. I think what you're going to see is a lot of emotion. You'll see me totally out of my comfort zone.' It was announced in November that Stephen's father Christopher had passed away, with a spokesperson for the star telling told: 'Stephen has had an incredibly tough time over the past few weeks. 'His beloved father recently passed away which has hit him hard and has been understandably very stressful'. Stephen was born in east London in 1977 to parents Christopher and Maureen who worked as market traders. The star has credited his success to his parents saying: 'I don't mean to sound soppy, but they worked so incredibly hard to bring up me and my two brothers and sister.' Raised alongside his three siblings, he honed his people skills by working on his father's market stall before he went on to pursue his career as a magician. Shortly after Stephen's father died he was rushed to hospital after he collapsed while eating at a Pizza Express following an unknown medical procedure he had earlier in the day Then shortly after Stephen was rushed to hospital after he collapsed while eating at a Pizza Express following an unknown medical procedure he had earlier in the day. After paramedics helped him, he was put on the phone to his mother to assure her that he was OK. A source told The Sun: 'Stephen has been going through an incredibly tough time of late. He is grieving the loss of his dad to whom he was so, so close. 'He's also been battling several well-documented health problems, and on Wednesday morning had a procedure requiring a local anaesthetic. 'He took himself off for a quiet, solo dinner that evening, had a few drinks and just reacted incredibly badly. He's only human, and his dad's death has hit him hard.' Stephen first sparked concern after he pulled out of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway back in April 2024 after he was struck down with illness. He reportedly told producers on the Saturday morning of filming that he was not up for doing the show that evening as he was feeling under the weather. While he was absent from the show, the nature of his illness wasn't revealed but a source close to Stephen told The Sun on Sunday: 'Stephen was due to be on a small section of the show, but sadly he was feeling a bit too poorly to perform. 'When he realised he would be too under the weather to show up he called first thing on Saturday morning to let the team know. 'They were able to rejig the format and make it work without him.' Stephen has also had a stressful time regarding one of his properties after his tenants claimed they had been living with damp and mould for years. The presenter was forced to apologise to the tenants living in a house owned by his £4million firm after they said they felt 'bitter and alienated' after having their complaints ignored for two to three years. Stephen suffered another blow after his beloved ITV show In For A Penny was axed, according to The Mirror, a shock decision meant his own fan-favourite Saturday night gameshow has been shelved after six series - but, bosses haven't ruled out a potential return and suggested it may have just been temporarily paused. An ITV source told MailOnline: 'Whilst Stephen is busy filming other projects over the summer, In For A Penny continues to be a much loved format for ITV. 'So don't put your pennies away just yet as the team could be popping up in your local town, to challenge even more members of the public to take part in their unique and madcap games in the future!'

Ross Kemp breaks down in tears unearthing family secret he spent his whole life questioning on Who Do You Think You Are?

Ross Kemp broke down in tears as he unearthed a family secret that he spent his whole life questioning on Tuesday's episode of Who Do You Think You Are? The actor, 60, is one of the stars taking part in the latest series of the genealogy documentary series. And the latest instalment saw the star - who is arguably best known for playing Grant Mitchell in EastEnders - find out about his family history. During his time on the show Ross was on a mission to find out about his mum's side, including his great-grandad, who was known in the clan as Pop, who had 10 other siblings and lived in a pub in Portsmouth as a youngster. Ross recalled a moment that his mum had told him that her dad had turned up at the door wearing a US uniform, and everyone assumed that he had been shipwrecked in the southern China sea, but the soap star found out exactly what had happened to him. The voice over explained: 'On 11 July 1943 Pops troop ship the Duchess of York and her convoy were over 300 miles off the Portuguese coast when three German air force planes took off from France and headed towards them.' The actor, 60 - who is arguably best known for playing Grant Mitchell in EastEnders - is one of the stars taking part in the latest series of the genealogy documentary series Ross met up with historian Sarah Louise Miller and she told him that the ship was hit twice, her engines were put out of order and she ended up catching fire. As Louise explained what had happened, Ross became very emotional and wiped a tear from his face and she said although they were off the ship, they still weren't safe. Ross told Louise: 'Sorry I'm getting emotional.' 'It would have been a very scary situation,' she told him. As his voice cracked, Ross asked: 'But he survived, yeah?' Louise replied: 'He did survive.' The voice over explained: '89 lives were lost from the Duchess of York that night. 'And the next day, her destroyed hulk was sunk to the bottom of the sea. Now in one of the escort vessels who rescued him... Pop was still a target. 'He and the other survivors had little choice but to risk a 700-mile sea voyage to Casablanca, the largest nearby port under Allied control.' After finding out the truth, Ross said: 'I know it sounds like I'm smiling about the was shipwrecked, but I was questioning if that actually ever happened!' He added: 'It's very odd. I make lots of documentaries around the whole about a lot of stuff but when it's about you or your family, it has a very different impact. 'It really does. Oh Pop, what a life he had.' Speaking to the camera Ross said: 'It's such a complex feeling to think about somebody who I was told about all my life by my grandmother, and by my mother, had been this kind of interesting, traveler and there are similarities that I'm drawing from understanding him that I see in myself. 'His life was all about him doing what he warned to do most of the time. 'So I'm finding out basically from my great grandfather, a lot about me.' It comes after Andrew Garfield broke down in tears at the grave of his ancestors who were 'deemed so valueless' after harrowing revelation last week. Spider-man legend Andrew, who grew up between Los Angeles and London, was intrigued to find out more about his dad's side of the family, who come from Poland. During the episode, Andrew got very emotional when he visited a memorial grave site in remembrance of those who died at the Treblinka extermination camp near the village of Treblinka, Poland. His Jewish great-grandfather Ludwig Garfinkel's three sisters didn't manage to escape and he placed three stones on a gravestone marked Kielce, which is where they were from. Fighting back the tears, Andrew said: 'This is a memorial stone for the Jews from Kielce that met their ultimate fate here in Treblinka, which my great-grandfather's three sisters, we imagine, had to have been murdered. 'Szajndia, Dworja, Basia. Their lives were deemed so valueless and the Nazis attempted to erase even the memory of them, even their names, even any record of them. 'And they had succeeded in certain ways. 'They were just normal girls, they were just normal women who just wanted a life, they wanted to live, to thrive, but this journey that we've been on has recovered my memory of them and my family's memory of them and I'm grateful for that. 'I wish I had known you better, I wish you peace.'
