May 1st, 2025 NEW YORK – (May 1, 2025) – CNN Worldwide celebrates 33 nominations in the 46th Annual News and Documentary Emmy® Award competition. The nominations were announced today by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. CNN's diverse nominations encompass breakings news, enterprise reporting, interviews and special events along with CNN en Español programming, The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper , CNN As Equals, and CNN Films. This year's awards will be presented at the Palladium Times Square Theater on June 25th and June 26th in New York City. Yilber Vega Joins Telemundo New Jersey as Reporter

Telemundo 47 (WNJU) has added Yilber Vega as a general assignment reporter. "Yilber has covered important court cases from Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman to Harvey Weinstein, as well as presidential elections and extreme weather events such as Superstorm Sandy. He is professional, hard-working and shares our station's deep commitment to the community. We are thrilled to welcome Yilber into the Telemundo 47 family as our newest general assignment reporter," said Alexa Rodriguez, Telemundo 47 news director. Vega has been working with Telemundo 47 as a freelance journalist since June 2024. Before that, he worked as a New York-based multiplatform journalist forCNN en Español, covering breaking news and general assignments from across the United States and around the world. Before joining CNN, Yilber was a NY correspondent for the Colombian TV Networks NTN24 and RCN, as well as for the Colombian radio stations La FM and Caracol Radio. He was also a newscaster for Radio Unica New York. Yilber began his career in Colombia as political and governmental reporter for several Radio Networks and for the Channel 1 TV newscast show Noticiero de las Siete. "Over the past year at Telemundo 47, I have been privileged to work alongside some of the finest news professionals in our industry – equally committed to excellence in journalism and service to community. It is an honor to join the Telemundo 47 family in this new capacity and I am excited to continue delivering the latest news and information that our viewers turn to each and every day," said Yilber Vega.
