Woody Cook to host DJ set in Brighton while on charity walk

The DJ Woody Cook is fitting in a set during his charity walk to the Glastonbury is currently walking from Dover in Kent to Pilton in Somerset to raise money for environmental and humanitarian 24-year-old will play live at The Tempest in Brighton on Wednesday said: "The walk for the first 90 miles has been beautiful and it is great to see Brighton so close by." Cook, the son of DJ Fatboy Slim and BBC Radio presenter Zoe Ball, is from Brighton and will play in his home told BBC Radio Sussex: "This our first proper rest day - there's a few blisters so far but we are all going well."We have the odd moment of 'Where's the food gone?' but we haven't killed each other yet!"The challenge spans 21 days and see the group stop in over a dozen towns and cities before reaching their final destination in Somerset on 24 June. The weather has not been too kind to Cook and his friends so far, with high temperatures and also rain and winds along the of playing at The Tempest, he said: "I played there recently and it was great so I'm looking forward to going back again."One of the charities we are raising money for is supporting grassroots music venues - but all the charities are close to my heart."Hopefully my dad will also turn up - he is close by. "We haven't seen any friends or family so far so we can get some supplies when we see them and maybe a few beers. I might have a bath too!"Proceeds from the walk will go to five charities: Music Venues Trust, Greenpeace, WaterAid, Oxfam and The Wildlife Trusts.
