False Police Report and The Arrest of Two Fugitives.
Bell County, TX (FOX 44) – Authorities are investigating a false 911 call that reported an active shooter at two different locations.
Around 5:15P.M. Friday, Bell County Sheriff's Deputies and Temple Police officers responded to a call reporting an active shooter located west of Temple on Texas Highway 36. Later, the caller changed the location to McGregor Park. Officers thoroughly searched both locations and no active shooter or victims were found. Authorities are continuing to investigate the origin of the calls.
Around the same time members of the Bell County Sheriff's Office Violent CrimesApprehension Team were serving an arrest warrant for 28-year-old Paul Alejandro Rodriguez in the 13000 block of Moffat Road. Rodriguez, who was wanted on felony charges, initially refused to exit the residence but then attempted to flee with 28-year-old Jessica Rae Olivarri. Olivarri was found to have outstanding felony warrants.
While being apprehended, both individuals became visible ill and admitted to ingesting Fentanyl. Emergency Medical Services were called and administered Narcan which successfully reversed the effects of the drug. Rodriguez and Olivarri are currently being treated at a hospital.
This case is an ongoing investigation.
