A 33-year-old man faces multiple charges after failing to stop for police and damaging a police vehicle.
Just after 1:15 a.m. on June 17, Lambton County OPP attempted to stop a vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act violation.
The incident occurred in Dawn-Euphemia Township on Bentpath Line, west of Annett Road.
The driver failed to stop, while hitting and significantly damaging a police vehicle.

After an investigation, police arrested and charged the man with flight from peace officer, dangerous operation, obstruct peace officer, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of weapon, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, assault a peace officer with a weapon and possession of a schedule I substance – methamphetamine.
No injuries were reported, and the accused is held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia.
Bentpath Line between Shetland Road and Annett road was closed, but has since reopened.
