Connections Help, Hints & Clues for Today, May 10
The hints, clues, and answers for the NYT Connections for May 10, 2025, are now available. The New York Times began publishing the category-matching puzzle game in June 2023. To successfully solve the game, a player has to categorize a 16-word grid into four correct groups of four. Each of these groups represents a theme, which can be a variety of things, from homonyms to synonyms to words sharing the same suffix or prefix. These groups, in turn, are represented by colors, with yellow denoting the easiest category and purple the hardest.
Here is everything you need to know about how to solve the May 10th edition of Connections.
The hints for May 10 Connections are as follows:
Yellow Category – Words that express goodwill.
Green Category – A Lack of something.
Blue Category – Related to encouragement.
Purple Category – Something thin.
The following are the NYT Connections answers for today, May 10:
Yellow Category: Letter Sign-OffsBest, Cheers, Love, and Sincerely
Green Category: WithoutAbsent, Minus, Sans, and Wanting
Blue Category: VigorBeans, Energy, Pep, and Zip
Purple Category: _____ StripBacon, Comic, Landing, and Sunset
Today's NYT Connections was tricky. We did solve the Yellow Category quite easily, as the common theme between those four words was easy to figure out. While people have mostly stopped writing handwritten letters a while ago, we still use e-mails, and that particular usage of those words is still rather common. We had some issues with the remaining words, erroneously believing that 'Comic' and 'Sans' would be part of one group. Ultimately, we figured out the commonality between 'Sans,' 'Minus,' 'Absent,' and 'Wanting,' and they were placed in a single category. The patterns of the remaining eight words weren't that hard to decipher. We solved the Purple Category first, and the Blue one almost solved itself.
