Flames send Bears to MVC losers bracket
Hello everyone, I'm Dan Lucy on the Ozarks First digital desk.
Missouri State has it's back against the wall in the Valley baseball tournament.
In our Bear Nation update.
Missouri State started the day playing Illinois-Chicago in the 11 a.m. game.
And the Flames broke open a 2-2 game in the fifth inning with back to back home runs.
The first came from Thomas Curry who takes this deep to left center, a two run shot that makes it 4-2 Flames.
The next batter is Jackson Bessette and he goes yard to left center as well, 5-2 illinois-Chicago.
Chicago scored four more in the ninth and wins 11-5.
The bears fall into an elimination game Friday afternoon against Belmont.
