Man arrested for kicking dog and waving firearm in Woking
An arrest has been made following reports of a man assaulting his dog and waving a suspected imitation firearm in incident happened in Ash Close, Woking, at about 20:00 BST on Monday.A 57-year-old man, from Woking, was arrested on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal and possessing an imitation police attended the scene, and the dog was seized by officers and remains under their care, Surrey Police said. Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact the force.

Two boys arrested after rifle sighting on roof in Nottingham
Two teenagers have been arrested after a reported sighting of a rifle with a telescopic scope prompted armed police were called to reports of two individuals holding the weapon on the roof of a building in Radford Road, New Basford in Nottingham, shortly after 20:00 BST on Tuesday.A police helicopter was also deployed and two boys - aged 15 and 16 - had been arrested on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of has been injured and searches are ongoing to locate the weapon which is believed to be an imitation firearm, police added. Det Ch Insp Claire Gould said: "This will have no doubt caused great alarm to the person who called this in as well as to the surrounding community, but we hope the swift way we reacted provides the public with some reassurance."Within a few minutes of attending the scene, officers from our Armed Policing Unit, assisted by our colleagues at NPAS, managed to locate two suspects and bring them under arrest."Police have asked anyone with information about this to get in touch with them or ring Crimestoppers anonymously.

Man in court after armed police called to Portishead estate
A man has appeared in court charged with possession of an imitation firearm after a police armed response unit was deployed to a housing fired twice during the incident at Merlin Park in Portishead on 30 April, and a man was taken to hospital with an injury to his Thornton, who lives on the estate, appeared at North Somerset Courthouse on Monday charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of was further charged with possession of class B drugs and was remanded into custody ahead of his next appearance at Bristol Crown Court on 9 June. Avon and Somerset Police referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct following Mr Thornton's arrest and was told an investigation into the policing response will be conducted.

Teen allegedly found with knife and imitation gun outside AFL match
A 15-year-old boy has been cautioned by police after allegedly being found with a knife and imitation firearm outside Marvel Stadium in Melbourne. Police said the teenager approached an entry gate on Bourke St about 4.30pm on Saturday, but drew attention from nearby officers when it was discovered he didn't have a ticket to the AFL match. A subsequent search allegedly uncovered a small knife and an imitation gun. The teen was stopped before entering the venue. He was issued an official caution, and police confirmed he did not gain access to the stadium. Essendon played the Sydney Swans at Marvel Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with more than 43,000 people in attendance, according to Aus Stadiums.
