Infant suffers life-threatening injuries in Hants County crash
RCMP say an infant has life-threatening injuries after a crash at a rural intersection in central Nova Scotia. In a news release Friday, the Mounties say the collision happened at the intersection of Highway 14 and South Rawdon Road shortly after noon on Thursday. It says a transport truck travelling west collided with a car travelling north on South Rawdon Road. An infant travelling in the car was taken to hospital by helicopter. The driver and passenger of the vehicle, a 34-year-old woman from South Rawdon and a 69-year-old woman from Hantsport, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck, a 70-year-old man from Williamswood, has minor injuries. RCMP say an investigation is underway. The intersection has reopened.
