Touring England will be a new experience, will try to win a trophy there, says Suryavanshi
New Delhi: Left-handed batting prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who won the Super-striker of the Season award in IPL 2025, said he is excited about taking learnings from touring England for the first time as a member of India U19 team. He added that he will try his best to win another trophy in England. India's U19 tour of England will happen from June 24 to July 23, and comprises a 50-over warm-up match, a five-match Youth One-Day series and two Multi-Day matches. 'It's a new tournament and a new game. I am going to the UK for the first time. It will be a new experience for me. I will get to know about the game and the grounds there. Our captain, Ayush Matre, has played for CSK this time. The preparation is going very well. I will get a good experience of playing in England. We will try to win a trophy from there as well,' said Suryavanshi in a video posted on Suryavanshi began his IPL life with a first-ball six, and went on to score 252 runs at a mind-boggling strike rate of 206.55. But it was his whirlwind 101 in 35 balls against Gujarat Titans (GT), the second-fastest century in IPL history, which left everyone astonished. 'Playing in the IPL is like a dream for everyone. It was my first season and I got a lot of positive things from it. I got to learn a lot about what I can do for the team in the next season. So, I will work on the areas where I made mistakes in the past, and I will try to do better for the team in the next season. 'I have learnt that I have to do two times better than what I have done in the past, so that my team can play in the finals next year. I will focus on how much I can contribute to making it happen for my team in the next season,' concluded Suryavanshi.

IPL 2025: Jitesh credits batting coach DK's advice for sensational knock of unbeaten 85 vs RCB
After his unbeaten 85 off 33 balls helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) get a top two finish with a six-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), stand-in skipper Jitesh Sharma said batting coach Dinesh Karthik's advice of "keep looking at the ball" and "play normal cricketing shots" helped him a lot in hitting a breath-taking knock. Jitesh's knock ensured RCB chased down 228 with eight balls to spare. He also shared an unbeaten 107-run stand with Mayank Agarwal, who scored 41 not out, as RCB set up a Qualifier 1 meeting with Punjab Kings in Mullanpur on Thursday. 'I didn't have a calculation. I spoke to DK and he said, 'Just keep looking at the ball and try to play normal cricketing shots. And take the game to the end. If you keep playing, I believe you'll finish the match'. I think it's all about preparation. We had discussed every bowler the other day. What can I do? What kind of body shape do I want? So I was just trying to remind myself again and again,' said Jitesh in a video posted on Asked on the advice he got from Agarwal, Jitesh revealed, 'I think he was controlling me and telling me what to do. He was telling me again and again what was going on in the game, because I was in my zone. He was giving me the shape and guiding me in the run chase.' RCB pulling off the third-highest successful chase in IPL's history came after they couldn't complete a chase against Sunrisers Hyderabad, despite that being in their grasp. "When everything is going well, it's important to have a speed breaker because when you are awake, you get a punch, you get to know where you are going wrong and what's happening." "So I think that last match was that for us, that's what I wanted to say. Then there was a hunger in everyone, like this became a do-or-die match, and everybody's A game was slowly coming out," concluded Jitesh.

'Built like a RHINO...', not Kohli, RCB wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma is talking about THIS star player, his name is...
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma's old video is currently going viral on social media. In this clip, Jitesh had compared West Indies all-rounder Romario Shepherd's strength to that of a 'rhino.' He had said, 'It's like a rhino's power in a human body. I've never seen such strength.' On Saturday, during a match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Shepherd showcased that very strength, proving Jitesh's observation right. Romario Shepherd played a blistering innings of 53 runs off just 14 balls against CSK, smashing the second-fastest half-century in IPL history. With this feat, he joined the elite list of KL Rahul (2018 for Punjab Kings) and Pat Cummins (2022 for Kolkata Knight Riders), both of whom also scored fifties in 14 balls. The record for the fastest fifty still belongs to Yashasvi Jaiswal, who achieved it in just 13 balls. Shepherd displayed a unique mix of aggression and power during his knock. Speaking to he said, 'I have an aggressive nature and strength. I believe I am the team's rhino. I proudly accept that nickname.' Shepherd credited his strategic mindset and confidence for his explosive performance. He explained that observing the pitch from the dugout and advice from RCB mentors gave him an edge. Especially against CSK bowler Matheesha Pathirana's yorkers and slower deliveries, Shepherd had already devised a plan. 'I played my role. I had an idea of what they would try. I just focused on hitting the ball hard and flat,' he added. Shepherd acknowledged the support of RCB captain Rajat Patidar, teammate Tim David, and mentor Dinesh Karthik. Patidar encouraged Shepherd and boosted his morale by calling him a 'main player.' 'Rajat gave me the confidence to target the bowlers and hit every ball,' Shepherd recalled. Meanwhile, Tim David offered technical tips, advising him to maintain shape and swing due to the ball stopping. DK, on the other hand, provided special training after the team's initial batting failures. The 30-year-old all-rounder revealed that his strength lies in his solid base and the way he swings. His approach wasn't about chasing a specific score, but about treating each ball as an opportunity to hit a boundary or a six. 'When I came in to bat, Tim told me to relax and try. I just followed that advice,' Shepherd explained. Romario Shepherd's explosive innings not only won the hearts of RCB fans but also earned him the tag of the team's new 'rhino.' His blend of strength, self-belief, and calculated play showed he has the potential to deliver on big stages. Proving Jitesh Sharma's prediction true, Shepherd demonstrated that he indeed carries the power of a rhino within.
