'Woman and Child' by Iranian director Saeed Roustaee also hit the red carpet ; it's the second iranian film in competition, after "It Was Just an Accident" by Jafar Panahi. Roustaee delivers a poignant portrait of a single mother faced with an implacable patriarchal system.
Finally, chinese director Bi Gan presents "Resurrection", a futuristic drama lasting 2 hours and 40 minutes.
