Chaos as two pigeons board Delta flight as passengers scramble to catch them
A pair of pigeons appeared to want to go for a joyride after they flew onboard a Delta flight, leaving passengers scrambling to capture them. The chaotic moment took place Saturday night while passengers on flight 2348 boarded the aircraft in Minneapolis, Minnesota bound for Wisconsin. The clip, captured by passenger Tom Caw, showed the bizarre incident unfold right before his eyes. The dark plane, lit up with blue lights, appeared to be completely full as a man stood in the aisle just before one of the rogue birds charged down the middle of the plane. The man then lifted a jacket in the air, making the pigeon stop in its tracks before it appeared to fall to the ground while other passengers screamed and ducked away. When passengers initially boarded the plane at Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, Caw said he overheard someone tell a flight attendant 'there was a pigeon on the plane.' Soon enough, the pilot hopped on the microphone and informed everyone that that was indeed the case and that 'he had no experience with this situation.' The pigeon was then escorted off the plane by baggage claim handlers, Caw said. It is unclear how the birds go on board. 'People applauded. A young girl asked if she could pet it,' he added. Thinking that was the end of the mayhem, the plane prepared for take off on the runway when another pigeon snuck onboard, Caw detailed. 'This is my video of it flying through the cabin. It was caught, and we returned to the gate,' he said. 'Pilot said when he radioed the control tower about us coming back due to a pigeon, the guy said that was a first for him. Pilot told him it was the second time for him—the first being half an hour earlier.' The second pigeon was taken off the plane by another baggage handler and was 'still alive,' Caw said. 'My guess is the pigeons were tired of flying and wanted snacks. They didn't know this flight to MSN is too short for Delta to offer beverage/snack service,' he added. A spokesperson with Delta Airlines told the flight, with 119 customers and five crew members on board, arrived 56 minutes late due to the incident. 'Delta appreciates the careful actions of our people and our customers to safely remove two birds from the aircraft prior to departure and we apologize to our customers for the delay in their travel,' they added. News of the animals on the plane comes a little more than a month after a United Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing after a rabbit got sucked into its engine. Dramatic video showed a fireball of flames erupting from an engine on Flight 2325 shortly after it took off from Denver Airport on April 13. Passengers on the Edmonton, Canada-bound flight recalled hearing a 'loud bang' and feeling 'significant vibration' just after takeoff, but the aircraft continued to climb. 'Every few moments there was a backfire coming from the engine, a giant fireball behind it,' passenger Scott Wolff told ABC's Good Morning America. 'Everyone in the plane then started to panic.'

Dash-cam footage shows man taking ambulance for joy ride across Timaru
The owner of a stolen ambulance is glad the vehicle wasn't damaged during a joyride around the streets of Timaru. Dash-cam footage showed a man approaching the private ambulance early on Tuesday morning. Don Gutsell, paramedic and owner of ProMed, said the man drove the vehicle through thick fog, ran through a stop sign and reached speeds up to 82km/h before he abandoned it near Timaru's port - all in the span of around five minutes. The ambulance was left on and unlocked outside Timaru Hospital around 12:30am Tuesday, as Gutsell was inside preparing a patient to be transferred to Christchurch. "We were in the hospital for about 20 minutes. I loaded the patient up, went to come out, and the ambulance was gone," he said. "My heart sank and I thought to myself 'perhaps I've left the handbrake off and its rolled away'. "Because it was a foggy, cold night, we often leave the vehicle running and shut the doors and get the heater going full bore so that when they come out of the emergency department, they've got a very short space of time in the cold air and its back to being warm for them." Gutsell said he searched nearby streets to find the missing ambulance, but to no avail. He then called his wife, who tracked it down via Gutsell's phone which had been left inside. He arrived at the ambulance about the same time police arrived, he said. Nothing was taken and items like the med-kit were still intact and untouched, Gutsell said. "It was just parked up, lights were still on, motor wasn't running. This guy had just taken this thing for a joyride," he said. A police spokesperson said they were called around 12.55am on Tuesday morning to a Queen Street address, after a report of a vehicle being stolen. They said the vehicle was located abandoned about 20 minutes later and was returned to the owner. An investigation into the circumstances was ongoing. Gutsell said as a result of the theft, his patient was delayed in getting to Christchurch Hospital by around 90 minutes. "That's the sad thing. When someone needs to go to Christchurch at that time of the night, its not always life and death, but its for the betterment of the patient," he said. "For that person, essentially, they had to suffer for an extra hour and a half waiting for the ambulance." It's a moo-torbike! Bizarre moment bull steals a scooter and takes it for a spin
This is the bizarre moment an brazen bull steals a motorbike in broad daylight before taking it for a spin. Hilarious footage shows the opportunistic animal sauntering down a road in Rishikesh, India, and stumbling upon the parked scooter. The bull then goes over to inspect the vehicle, giving it a sniff as a passing mother, startled by the stray animal, grabs her child and gives it a wide berth. In an apparent attempt to mount the scooter, the randy beast put its front hooves on it but its weight knocked away the kickstand. The bike is then suddenly propelled forward. It starts to roll down the hill with the animal desperately trying to keep it under control with its hind legs. It gives the impression the bovine is skillfully manoeuvring the scooter. But unable to see where it was going, the bull heads straight into a fence where the bike falls to the ground. The confused animal looks around the street before continuing on its way. The bizarre joyride was filmed in the city of Rishikesh, located in the Himalayan foothills beside the Ganges River, in northern India on May 2. One local said: 'Bro, he isn't stealing it, the bull has another plan in mind.' Dhiren remarked: 'The owner's insurance company would have never believed him if not for this video.' Ravi added: 'Sometimes you need to try something new in life, even if it's just a scooter ride.' The clip was posted on X (formerly Twitter) with a humorous Hindi caption that translates to, 'You've probably seen people stealing scooters many times, but the case of scooter theft in Rishikesh is a bit different. 'Here, even the stray bulls roaming the streets have a fondness for bikes and scooters.' The video since gone viral, racking up 560,000 views and sparking a wave of amused reactions. One person joked: 'If I didn't see it, I wouldn't Bullieve it.' 'It was a Cow-asaki!', added another. A third said: 'How to explain this to insurance, without CCTV.' Local residents have urged the government to restrict the movement of cattle that roam freely in the region. India has hundreds of thousands of bulls roaming its streets. It is partly due to devout locals who follow Hindu customs, with cows regarded as sacred animals that cannot be eaten or slaughtered once they have stopped producing milk. The majority of states ban the sale or slaughter of cows. Instead of dealing with the economic burden of keeping their spent cattle, many farmers let the beasts roam the streets - leading to chaos when the animals become agitated.

Teens and 12-year-old girl arrested after cross-Sydney police chase ends at Bondi Junction
A 12-year-old girl joined three teens who filmed themselves speeding at up to 180km/h in a cross-border joy-ride from Geelong to Sydney and joked about avoiding Victorian police. NSW Police say the group drove through the night to Sydney after stealing the car from outside a gym in the Geelong suburb of Grovedale at about 3pm on Wednesday. Arriving into Campbelltown in the early hours of Thursday morning after a 900km ride, police said the teens then continued into Sydney's eastern suburbs. At about 11.20am, police allege the car was dumped outside Bondi Junction train station after police were forced to abandon their pursuit and instead used PolAir to track the group. Three teenagers and a 12-year-old were arrested after a cross-city police chase ended in Bondi Junction. ( Supplied: NSW Police ) A police source said one of the juveniles joked about eluding Victorian police before being apprehended by NSW Police at Bondi Junction. "It's very concerning that there are those who think stealing cars is effectively a joke," Inspector Adam Solah said. "NSW Police don't treat it as such … it was dangerous to the young persons themselves." Police allege the group threw a headrest, floor mats and other items from the car and filmed themselves at high speed while being pursued by officers through several inner-city suburbs. From there, probationary constables on their first day on the job apprehended two boys, both 14, and two girls aged 12 and 17. A white Mazda CX3 at the scene in Bondi Junction. The vehicle was allegedly stolen from a home in Victoria. ( Supplied: NSW Police ) Vision from the pursuit shows the vehicle speeding through suburbs and dodging traffic before eventually stopping outside Bondi Junction train station. "The driving was extremely dangerous. It was high-speed, weaving in out and of traffic, let alone objects being thrown from the vehicle," Inspector Solah said. The group remain in custody at Surry Hills police station, where they are expected to be charged.
