Developing Now; Tracking severe weather chances in KELOLAND today
We are closely monitoring the latest weather conditions today in KELOLAND. Stay alert to changing conditions with our KELOLAND Storm Tracker App and right here at through the day. Here's the very latest from the Storm Center:
**5:45am Update– Here are some rain totals as of 6am. We are hearing about 1-2″ reports just west of Chamberlain, with over an inch of rain near Miller. Locally heavy rain is also now being reported near Brookings. As of 6:05am, we have no severe weather warnings in our area.
**5:45am Update– We are scanning several clusters of showers and thunderstorms as of the 5am hour in KELOLAND. The radar loops below show the batches of thunderstorms lifting to the north. We are getting some nice rain reports from this line, which is good news. The bad news is the chance of severe weather later today in our eastern counties will increase. We'll be sharing more information through the day and invite you to send us your weather reports to uSHARE@ anytime.
The latest severe weather outlook from the Storm Prediction Center is shown below. This outlook remains about the same as it looked yesterday. The highest probability of severe weather after 12pm will be east of I-29. All modes of severe weather will be possible, so continue to monitor the latest updates. More information coming shortly!
