Maher calls out liberals backing Hamas despite terror group's extremist views
Comedian Bill Maher trashed liberals in the United States who agree with the terror group Hamas on the topic of Israel. During the latest episode of his "Club Random" podcast – featuring podcast host Tim Pool as his guest – the comedian marveled at how liberals could support the Israel-hating, radical Islamic terrorists. "Most Muslim societies live under some form of sharia law, which no westerner who thinks that Hamas is so great could ever live under," Maher said. The fact that some anti-Israel agitators on American college campuses have expressed support for the group that killed around 1,500 people in Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, or have echoed its slogans calling for the destruction of Israel, perplexed the HBO "Real Time" host. He mentioned the irony of westerners endorsing the terror group and the "Islamists" he alleged are supportive of Hamas' war against the Jewish nation. "That's what's so ironic about liberals being so supportive of Hamas, is because you're liberals and these are the people – I'm sorry, but this ideology, Islam, even in its more benign forms – yes, I agree, the vast majority of Muslims – not terrorists, of course. But Islamists, which is the word we use to describe people who are not terrorists, but kind of agree with the things terrorists are doing, that's a much higher number." "That's many millions of people," he added. Maher's statements come less than a week after two staffers at the Israeli Embassy in D.C. were murdered while exiting an event at the Capital Jewish Museum. The suspect, 31-year-old Chicago resident Elias Rodriguez, yelled, "Free, free Palestine," as he was arrested by law enforcement. Maher continued, noting that the "fundamental rights" liberals have in America would not exist in Gaza or in other Islamic countries. "You know, I mean all the protesters who are protesting in Gaza against Hamas? They've all been killed. They killed protesters, women – I mean, do I have to say anything more than just — if it was just that issue, how women are treated? Are you f------ kidding me?" he asked. Maher admitted that one of his main points of disagreement with the "far left" came from his views on Islam. "One of the main reasons why the far left started to really hate me is because I call out Islam as what it is, extremely illiberal," he told Pool. Maher ripped the Democratic Party earlier this month for not doing enough to squash the anti-Israel movement within its ranks. "If the thought leaders in the Democratic Party keep encouraging and not rebuking that America is cringe and the people who run Gaza are great, the Democrats are doomed," he said.

Bill Maher UNLOADS on liberals over relentless support of Hamas: 'Are you f*****g kidding me!'
Bill Maher sharply criticized 'liberals' he accused of sympathizing with Hamas, expressing disbelief with the exclamation, 'Are you f***ing kidding me?'. The 69-year-old comedian accused the left-wing of aligning their loyalties with Hamas and failing to condemn radical Islamic terrorism, arguing during a recent podcast episode that many anti-Israel protestors would ironically be among the first killed by the terrorist group. 'All the protestors who are protesting in Gaza against Hamas? They've all been killed. They killed protestors and women,' Maher said, before launching into a tirade against his ' woke ' audience. The latest episode of Maher's Club Random podcast, which aired on YouTube Monday, featured a conversation with right-wing political commentator Tim Pool. During the conversation, the Real Time host revealed that he has faced backlash from the 'far-left' ever since he began frequently and vocally criticizing Islam. 'One of the main reasons why the far left started to really hate me is because I call out Islam as what it is, extremely illiberal,' Maher said during the episode. 'That's what's so ironic about liberals being so supportive of Hamas, is because you're liberals and these are the people, I'm sorry, but this ideology, Islam, even in its more benign forms - yes, I agree, the vast majority of Muslims, not terrorists, of course,' he added. 'Islamists, which is the word we use to describe people who are not terrorists, but kind of agree with the things terrorists are doing, that's a much higher number.' To further his point, the comedian added that far-left protestors in the US who support Hamas wouldn't survive a second if they were sent to live under Islamic regimes in the Middle East. 'Most Muslim societies live under some form of sharia law, which no westerner who thinks that Hamas is so great could ever live under,' he continued. 'Your fundamental rights that you take for granted here in America, you would not have.' He went on to reference the protests erupting across the US, arguing that if similar demonstrations took place under Hamas rule, participants would be killed - claiming the terrorist group targets women and protestors alike. 'I mean, do I have to say anything more than just - if it was just that issue, how women are treated,' Maher added. 'Are you f***ing kidding me?' In the very same episode, Maher also argued that the left-wing of the Democratic Party is alienating voters by focusing on what he called 'ridiculous' social issues and promoting 'woke policies'. 'They seem like committed to just going to absurd lengths just for sh**s and giggles, just for the f*** of it,' he said. Maher has been outspoken about Israel amid the ongoing violence in Palestinian territories and frequently discusses Middle Eastern politics on his HBO show. In October 2024, he accused American singer Chappell Roan of supporting Hamas and downplaying the October 7, 2023 attack on Israeli soil, as reported by Times of Israel. During a lengthy monologue on his political talk show last year, Maher criticized both the star and Gen Z for relying heavily on social media as their primary source of news. 'I know you're moved by what you see on there [TikTok], we all are. The dead Palestinian bodies. But it's odd that your generation didn't seem nearly as moved by the Jewish bodies on October 7,' Maher said. 'Chappell, you're not wrong that oppression is bad or that Palestinians, and many other Muslim populations are oppressed and deserve to be freed - you just have it completely ass backwards as to who is doing the oppressing.' In September 2024, Maher blasted Kamala Harris for her policy on the Middle East after she called for an end to the war in Gaza. The former-Vice President told a trio of journalists from the National Association of Black Journalists that a ceasefire and hostage deal must get done in the Israel-Hamas war. While calling for a two-state solution, she said the goal was to ensure 'the Israelis have security and Palestinians in equal measure have security, have self-determination and dignity.' Maher condemned Harris for her take, arguing that it wasn't a real solution and that it would be better to say nothing at all if she couldn't offer a plan of substance. 'I mean, everybody who talks about Israel these days is just so full of s**t,' Maher said. "'I don't want children to die.'" Duh. Who does?' he added. 'None of us want children to die. None of us want this war to go on, but it's not addressing what the problem is.' 'Here's what Kamala Harris said this week about what we should do when the war is over: "No reoccupation of Gaza, no changing of the territorial lines of Gaza" and an ability to have security in the region for all concerned in a way that we create stability." I feel like if that's what you have to say, don't say anything. Just shut up.' In April 2024, Maher tore into college-age protestors as performative publicity seekers, warning that 'no-one likes you', in a withering putdown on his HBO show. The comic and pundit blasted demonstrators, who have brought chaos to 'normies' with sit-down protests on major roads and college campuses. He dubbed the Palestinian keffiyeh headscarf the modern equivalent of the Che Guevara T-shirt and scorned their 'cosplay as revolutionaries' while disrupting the lives of those who have to work for a living. 'Hey, if it makes you feel good to cosplay as revolutionaries. Knock yourself out. Burn yourself out. Just don't drag Gaza into it,' he said. 'Also, throwing stuff on paintings is just stupid. No one sees mashed potatoes on a Monet and thinks he's got a point, I should recycle my cans.'

Jake Tapper outraged after woke podcaster suggested his child was RACIST for absurd reason
CNN 's Jake Tapper lashed out after a left-leaning podcast host made a crack about his 15-year-old son's desire to become a cop - saying that's why liberals are getting thumped at the voting booth. Tapper, 56, spoke about his April 2 experience on the podcast while joining a separate podcast Thursday hosted by NYU Professor Scott Galloway to promote his new book about the Biden health cover-up. Tapper had been telling Galloway about his son Jack's job aspirations when he was reminded of his appearance on another podcast early last month. Tapper did not name the podcast, How Long Gone, or his interviewers during the conversation Thursday, but he did recount the reaction he got from a co-host when Tapper discussed his son. 'We were talking about my kids... and they asked me about my son,' Tapper told Galloway. 'And I said he was, you know, he's, he's a football player and he wants to be a policeman. And their joke was about my 15-year-old son, "Oh, how does he feel about minorities?" 'Like the idea that he wants to be a policeman, therefore he's racist, my son,' Tapper said. Co-hosts Jason Stewart, who asked Tapper the question, and Chris Black were heard cackling as Tapper remained silent. How Long Gone podcast co-hosts Chris Black (left) and Jason Stewart 'That was the big laugh,' Tapper recalled to Galloway. 'And then I got dragged in the comments and all that stuff. 'And I thought to myself, "This is why you f***ers are losing elections." 'My football playing son, who has no political views. He's 15. He thinks about World War Two and gaming and playing linebacker - that's his world. 'You're deciding he's a racist because he wants to be a cop. 'And why does he want to be [one]? Because he wants to help people. And he thinks that's the best way. 'And that's how the Democratic Party talks to men, not just white men, but men.' Galloway agreed, during a conversation that centered on the CNN host's belief that the current Democratic Party could never reach people like his son. Tapper, the author of Original Sin: President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again, said much of the same during his more-than-hour-long appearance on the How Long Gone podcast last month. During the April 2 exchange, Tapper, Stewart and Black discussed members of Gen Z and their politics, with the podcast's listeners being predominantly young men. The discussion led to Tapper's anecdote about his son. 'So my son is 15, and I understand why Democrats are are struggling so much,' he said. 'Because they just don't speak any language that my son speaks.' 'Uh, he likes police,' Tapper added, with both hosts expressing disbelief. 'Like, I don't understand - like, what about a cop?' asked Black. 'He likes the military. He likes police,' Tapper replied. 'I don't know.' 'How does he feel about minorities?' Stewart pressed. 'He's... he's pro,' Tapper answered. Tapper continued with the conversation over the next 30 or so minutes. The podcast, which has nearly 800 episodes, bills itself as being based in pop culture, fashion, and music.

Supreme Court Lets Trump Fire NLRB and Merit Board Members
WASHINGTON—The Supreme Court on Thursday granted President Trump's emergency request to fire federal commissioners in the face of a law prohibiting their arbitrary removal, suggesting the conservative majority is prepared to strike down Congress's power to insulate agencies from political interference. The order was unsigned, as is typical in emergency actions, but the court's ideological division was clear. The conservative majority emphasized the risk to Trump's constitutional powers that the independent commissioners posed, while the court's three liberals, in a sharp dissent, said the order allowed the president to overrule longstanding Supreme Court precedent 'by fiat.'
