Wildlife officers free bear cub tangled in Tahoe soccer net
( — The California Department of Fish and Wildlife received a call about a bear cub being tangled in a soccer net on Thursday morning.
According to CDFW, the bear was tangled at a Kings Beach park at Lake Tahoe. When crews arrived at the scene, they found the cub stuck and was closely guarded by its protective mama bear.

After some teamwork, crews were able to loosen the net and make sure the mom gave them a safe space they needed to work, stated CDFW. Wildlife officers and biologists were able to safely free the cub in just five minutes.
'The little one darted up a nearby tree, and after a quick reunion, both bears wandered peacefully back into the wild,' said CDFW.
