Steph Claire Smith, an Australian fitness influencer, shared the moment her three-year-old gave her a detailed - and confusing - explanation about how he wanted his crumpet prepared for breakfast. The 30-year-old mother struggled to interpret her son Harvey's specific and unusual demands but was relieved when he gave her meal the seal of approval and she was able to avoid a tantrum. She shared the hilarious interaction in a TikTok video that quickly went viral as fellow parents said they strongly 'related' to the anxiety of keeping up with toddlers' ever-changing culinary preferences. In the clip, Steph, who's expecting her second baby any day, films herself as she reacts and tries to make sense of Harvey's instructions. 'So you want me to cut your crumpet in half and have jam on one side and Vegemite on the...' she started to clarify - before being quickly interrupted and corrected by the youngster. After some babbling, the mother thought Harvey wanted his jam on top of his Vegemite - but she was again mistaken. Eventually, Steph understood the toddler was asking for a crumpet with jam on one half and Vegemite on the other - and it must remain whole. 'Do you promise?' Harvey asked his confused mother as she went to the kitchen to prepare his order. 'I promise, I'll do my best,' she laughed in response. The mum, who boasts 1.4million followers on the platform, then shared the tense moment she presented Harvey with his crumpet. After a few seconds of deliberation, the boy confirmed she made his snack correctly and asked for a glass of milk to wash it down. The model's video racked up more than 3.8million views and had many parents expressing their 'fears' over getting their own toddlers' meals wrong. 'Having a toddler is like being the assistant of a high-profile business executive who doesn't pay you and makes inconsistent, erratic and illogical demands all the time,' one mother joked. 'I'm serving my kids food shaking with fear every time,' a second confessed. 'I was absolutely terrified for you,' a third wrote and another replied: 'Seriously, held my breath waiting to hear whether she did it right or not!' Grubhub Owner Wonder Tops $7 Billion Valuation in New Funding
Wonder, the food hall company that owns Grubhub and Blue Apron, has raised $600 million in new financing, said Chief Executive Officer Marc Lore — a deal that brings the company closer to creating what Lore calls a 'super app for mealtime.' The new funding brings the company's valuation to more than $7 billion, according to a person familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified discussing private information. The startup declined to comment on its valuation.
