Watergate-Style Hearings for the Biden Coverup

The massive coverup of Joe Biden's mental decline has stimulated plenty of indignant commentary. Missing from the hand-wringing is a demand for accountability, which brings to mind the quip: 'Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it.' This newspaper and recently published books have exposed the trickery and lies of Mr. Biden's minions and Democratic allies, who attempted to wield power in a leaderless vacuum. It was perfectly described in Tunku Varadarajan's review of Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson's book, 'Original Sin,' as resembling 'a hush-hush leftist capture of an infirm president.' A White House cadre, with media connivance, hoped to drag their puppet over the electoral line to win four additional years of power, dangerously undermining the institutional integrity of the presidency. Memorial Day has come and gone, and Washington's elite is already enabling the machinery to which the Democratic left turns in the face of scandal—elevating sideshows such as insupportable claims that Republicans are destroying Medicaid or rants regarding President Trump's dispute with Harvard, all to make this latest deceit disappear like April's cherry blossoms.

Joe Biden's doctor and top staff pressured to explain 'cover-up' of his mental state after 'obvious' decline

A top Republican-led committee is ramping up its investigation into the 'cover-up' of former President Joe Biden 's mental decline. Several former top Biden White House aides have been summoned by House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) to appear for transcribed interviews. Comer's investigation is doing a deep-dive into the alleged cover-up of Biden's mental decline as well as allegations of potential unauthorized usage of an autopen during the former president's White House tenure. Chairman Comer called Biden's 'obvious' decline a 'historic scandal' in a statement to the Daily Mail. 'The American people deserve to know when this decline began, how far it progressed, and who was making critical decisions on his behalf,' Comer noted. In particular, Biden's longtime White House physician is at the center of scrutiny. MAGA loyalists led by Fox News host Jesse Watters have set their sights on Dr. Kevin O'Connor, demanding he be subpoenaed and forced to answer questions on the record about Biden's health. 'He needs to be brought in, he needs to be subpoenaed, and he needs to answer some of these questions,' Watters said earlier this week. He's at the top of the list according to Comer, who said he's calling on physician and former White House advisors to 'participate in transcribed interviews so we can begin to uncover the truth.' 'In the last Congress, the Biden White House blocked these individuals from providing testimony to the Oversight Committee as part of the effort to cover-up Biden's declining health.' The top former Biden White House staff being called to testify by the committee include: Kevin C. O'Connor, former President Joe Biden's White House doctor • Dr. Kevin O'Connor, President Biden's Physician • Neera Tanden, Former Director of the Domestic Policy Council • Anthony Bernal, Former Assistant to the President and Senior Advisor to the First Lady • Annie Tomasini, Former Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff • Ashley Williams, Former Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Oval Office Operations Neera Tanden on Capitol Hill in Washington, U.S., February 10, 2021 Three of the individuals - Tomasini, Bernal, and Williams - had been subpoenaed by the Oversight Committee during the previous Congress. At the time, the Biden administration blocked the subpoena and did not make the president's aides available for depositions or interviews. Biden's former Attorney General Merrick Garland also blocked a request from Chairman Comer for audio records from the investigation into President Biden's mishandling of classified documents by Special Counsel Robert Hur. 'Any continued obstruction will be met with swift and decisive action. The American people demand transparency and accountability now,' said Chairman Comer. The vast nature of the 'cover-up' of former President Biden's mental state is the subject of a new book Original Sin in which an individual alleged to have had an inside view of the internal dynamic at the Biden White House is quoted as saying 'five people were running the country, and Joe Biden was at best a senior member of the board.'

‘Like watching Grandpa who shouldn't be driving': Biden's health worried aides back in 2020 campaign, book says

Former President Joe Biden's dwindling health dates back to his 2020 campaign, with one Democrat saying that seeing him talk to voters over Zoom was like 'watching Grandpa who shouldn't be driving,' according to a new book. Shocking revelations about the alleged coverup of Biden's mental and physical decline in 2023 and 2024 were revealed this week with the release of Original Sin: President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again. The book, written by CNN 's Jake Tapper and Axios ' Alex Thompson, coincidentally follows Biden's announcement Sunday that he has an aggressive form of prostate cancer. While Tapper and Thompson detail concerns about Biden's health dating back to his 2020 campaign, his mental and physical decline accelerated in 2023 and 2024. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Biden shot campaign videos speaking with voters on Zoom, however, hours of footage were deemed unusable due to his poor performance, according to CNN. 'It was like a different person. It was incredible. This was like watching Grandpa who shouldn't be driving,' said one Democrat, according to the book. 'I didn't think he could be president.' Multiple lawmakers also told the authors that Biden reminded them of ailing parents and grandparents, according to the book. Excerpts of the book, leaked prior to its release Tuesday, paint the 46th president and his closest advisers in a negative light, detailing his declining mental acuity leading up to the disastrous June debate against Donald Trump. Tapper and Thompson's book is based on interviews with 200 people, including members of Congress, the White House and campaign insiders. In response to the book, Biden's spokesperson Chris Meagher said that his team was 'still waiting for someone, anyone, to point out where Joe Biden had to make a presidential decision or make a presidential address where he was unable to do his job because of mental decline.' 'In fact, the evidence points to the opposite — he was a very effective president,' Meagher added.
