‘Lucky' Ottawa County bar and grill sells another jackpot lottery ticket
WALKERVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — A West Michigan lottery player that hit the jackpot doesn't plan on keeping all of his winnings.
The 69-year-old Ottawa County man frequently plays Michigan Lottery's Fast Cash games, he said in a Friday release from the Michigan Lottery.
'I bought a few Fast Cash tickets while I was out to eat with my family and saw I matched number 44 with 'Jackpot' underneath,' he said in the release. 'I handed the ticket to my son and jokingly said: 'What does jackpot mean?' He freaked out and scanned the ticket on his Lottery app to double check it.'
'Magic' or coincidence? Lottery players find luck at party store with four-leaf clover
He won $667,862 from the ticket bought at in Walkerville. The bar and grill has been 'particularly lucky,' the Michigan Lottery said, and sold a Fast Cash ticket that won a $111,368 jackpot last year.
The Ottawa County man says he plans on sharing his winnings with his family, and donating part of it to charities and his church.
The odds of winning the lottery are slim. For example, there's a 1 in 290 million chance of winning the Mega Millions jackpot and a 1 in 292.2 million chance of winning the Powerball.
