2026 Infiniti QX60 First Look Review: Mild Updates All Around

On the heels of the fresh and all-new Infiniti QX80 flagship comes the similarly redesigned 2026 Infiniti QX60. But rather than an all-new model, this is a midcycle refresh for the second-generation model that first arrived in 2021. 0:00 / 0:00 Looking Good The biggest change to come to the 2026 Infiniti QX60 is its exterior styling. It was already an attractive three-row luxury SUV but now wears a vertically slatted front grille, as well as more segmented front LED running lights. Infiniti pretty much left the QX60's rear design alone from the 2025 version, though you'll notice company designers removed the Infiniti logo from below the wiper, leaving only the brand's name spelled out. The idea behind that, according to senior manager Anand Patel, was to visually simplify things. The 18-inch wheel option is gone. All QX60s will now come standard with a 20-inch wheel. New paint options include the lovely Deep Emerald hue you can see in these photos. Inside Details We're a bit bummed to see the QX80's all-new interior did not make its way into the refreshed QX60. On top-tier Autograph-trim models, however, a third interior-upholstery color combination called Stone Gray joins the existing two. As its name suggests, it blends a couple of different shades of gray alongside contrast stitching and open-pore wood. In person, it comes across as part of the Millennial Gray trend. Also offered exclusively on Autograph QX60s (at least for now) is the ProPilot Assist 2.1 option, Nissan's version of hands-free adaptive cruise control, simila r to Generals Motors' Super Cruise an d Ford's BlueCruise. (You can tell such equipped cars from non-equipped ones thanks to the dual dorsal antennas.) We've yet to try out the feature on this Infiniti model, but during the new Nissan Armada's first drive back in December, we reported the system's ability to recommend and execute a lane change—with driver permission. Things went offline a little while later because of '3D-map data maintenance.' However, these advanced systems are updated constantly over the air, so we have no doubt they will only improve. Other technological additions to the 2026 Infiniti QX60 include an improved and expanded top-down 360-degree camera system that features a 'hood view.' This helps the driver see what's essentially under the SUV's front bumper—handy, considering that can be a tricky blind spot. These will be equipped on Luxe trims and higher. This refresh also brings digitization to the driver information cluster across all trims. Twin 12.3-inch digital displays house everything you need, and the infotainment system is upgraded to include built-in Google apps such as Google Maps. Finally, the 2026 model year sees the retirement of the Sensory trim and replaces it with the Sport trim. As its name suggests, this is the most aesthetically athletic grade, and it adds a different front fascia, darkened exterior accents, and gloss-black wheels. Captain's chairs come standard in the second row. The Dusk Blue interior color scheme is a moody sight to behold. Power and Pricing No powertrain upgrades accompany the 2026 Infiniti QX60, simply because the 2025 model already swapped the old V-6 for the 2.0-liter variable-compression turbo engine (VC-Turbo). In practice, MotorTrend editors called it 'unrefined' and 'laggy.' This would have been a good opportunity to introduce a hybrid option, but we'll have to wait for that. However, despite not yet knowing specifics about the 2026 Infiniti QX60's pricing, we figure it will adhere to the Infiniti tradition of cutting in slightly lower than the competition, thus giving buyers a more affordable luxury option—now with fitting technology to boot.
