Second boy dies after M4 slip road minibus crash

An 11-year-old boy has become the second child to die after a minibus overturned on a motorway slip road. Othniel Adoma, from Bracknell, Berkshire, died on Thursday, more than three weeks after the single-vehicle crash, said police. A white Ford Transit minibus overturned on the link road at junction 10 of the M4 to the A329(M) near Reading, Berkshire, at about 14:25 BST on 11 May. A six-year-old boy was also killed in the crash. Five other children injured in the incident have since been discharged from hospital, Thames Valley Police said. The force said its serious collision investigation unit was investigating the crash and confirmed no arrests had been made. Det Sgt Lyndsey Blackaby said: "My thoughts, and the thoughts of everyone at Thames Valley Police, are with the family and friends of Othniel Adoma. AN 11-year-old boy who died in a horror minibus crash has been pictured for the first time. Othniel Adoma was killed in the incident, along with another child, aged six, on the M4 at junction 10 on May 11. 3 3 3 Cops have now confirmed his name and released several photos of the tragic child. At around 2.25pm on Sunday 11 May, a white Ford Transit minibus overturned at the exit slip road onto the A329M. No other vehicles were involved in the collision. As was confirmed last month, another child, a six-year-old boy, also died in the collision. Five other children who were injured in the collision have now been discharged from hospital. Thames Valley Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the collision. No arrests have been made at this time.

A child remains in a critical condition in hospital after a horror minibus crash on the M4 that killed a six-year-old boy and seriously injured five other youngsters. The motorway in Berkshire was locked down in both directions when a Ford Transit overturned on the slip road from Junction 10 to the A329M near Reading at around 2.45pm on Sunday. Police tonight confirmed five children are still in hospital receiving treatment for serious injuries while another is in a critical condition. Thames Valley Police detectives have launched an investigation into the fatal crash, but no arrests have been made. Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Lyndsey Blackaby, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: 'Firstly, I want to offer my deepest condolences to the family of the child who sadly died in this collision. 'A full investigation has been launched in order to understand what caused the collision. 'We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it, to please get in touch. 'Anyone with any dash-cam footage, please upload it to our dedicated online portal. 'Anyone who has information should call 101 or make an online report, via our website, quoting reference number 43250230402. Nineteen people were injured in a fatal minibus crash on a motorway slip road in which a child died, a fire service has minibus overturned on the link road from junction 10 of the M4 to the A329(M) near Reading, Berkshire, at about 14:45 BST on motorway reopened after about three hours but the slip road remains Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service said two people were found to be trapped, with a total of 19 people being injured and receiving care from firefighters and paramedics. The child died at the scene and the fire service handed over responsibility for the scene to Thames Valley Police at about 17: police force confirmed on Sunday that no arrests had been made.
