Highway 400 reopens after moose removal
Provincial police announced on Thursday that they closed a segment of Highway 400 in both directions in the Muskoka region for a moose removal.
In a social media post at 9:43 a.m., Bracebridge OPP stated that they planned to close Highway 400 at 10 a.m. in both directions at Muskoka Road 38 (Go Home Lake Road).
The reason, Bracebridge OPP said, was to help the Ministry of Natural Resources with the safe removal of a moose from the median.
In a 11:23 a.m. update, Bracebridge OPP stated that the highway had partially reopened and at 11:42 a.m., they confirmed it had fully reopened.
